The event gave us more than we expected. There were more varieties of fruits to taste than we could believe. Everything was done well, from crowd control, to the informative tour and excellent fruits.
Silicon Valley was farmland and orchards when it was settled. It's great that there is still some history and the ability to get into nature and escape from the city life. The tastings are my favorite as there are many varieties to taste. I hope this can be continued and carried on to future generations. Picking fruit fresh from the tree is one of the best experiences money can buy.
It was very well organized, the tastings were great and helpful to do before the tour. I learned a lot and had a fun day at the orchard.
It was great to "purchase " fresh ripened fruit. They sre delicious!
Very happy with the selection of fruits for tasting, quality of guides for the picking tours, and the fruit itself. Happy to come again.
I had a great time and you can't beat your fruit. My one suggestion would be to highlight which varietals will be available for picking during the tasting. This would help me know where I want to start picking and would eliminate some of the confusion about whether I've found all of the different types as I'm picking.
The heritage apricots were so delicious, better than apricots from our local farmers market.
The docent who led us around was very helpful and answered everyone’s questions based on their individual knowledge levels. He also allowed us as much time picking as we liked and showed us a lot of interesting botanical developments in the fields. The grounds were also very well maintained and the fruit was delicious.
Great organization! The tasting was wonderful...great variety...all the work you went to to prep the food into bite-size bits and lay it out with the named varieties was great....everything very very well thought out. Being able to go in the orchard and pick reminded me of when I was a kid picking our own cots (which died out with one of the droughts) except yours are twice as big with that wonderful Blenheim taste. Nice group of vendors and not too many. Also fun to see one of my classmates name on an apricot! (No, I'm not 106!). Thank you again...the weather was perfect also. We look forward to next year's tasting!
A great day at Andy's Orchard! Everything was so organized...got to taste so many varieties of stone fruit, especially apricots. DELICIOUS. Then off to the orchard to pick our own apricots. LOVED it...everyone was so knowledgeable about the fruit and the trees, I learned so much. THANKS!
The fruits were incredible and the orchard tour guide was very helpful. I do wish we had the chance to atleast buy (if not pick) more rare varieties that were very really sweet in the tasting, for eg AnyaCots.
Done this several years in a row, always great. It is an unusual experience for most folks, keep it up!
Our guide, Philip was very informed. He didn’t rush, was patient and took his time in different areas. We learned a lot and now understand the differences for the apricot and cherry varieties. The tour was memorable! We are looking forward to the next ones. We have searched for tasty fruits for many years and are do happy to find Andy’s Orchard!!
Visiting the orchard and getting the tour of the orchards and the tastings were an amazing experience. We have been bringing our daughter to Andy’s since she was little and now she is an adult and wanted to share this experience with her boyfriend, so he could, in her words, know what real fruit tastes like!! Thank you for this amazing experience. JoAnne, Mike and Kyle Robinson
I wish there was an option to not have to pay for the tour and tasting. I don't mind doing it the first time, however it doesn't seem to be cost effective to do it for every visit.
tbis is our favorite even of the year --Andy's apricots are still the best there are ---there is just a "little" problem -- once you taste andy's apricots and/or ;peaches -- you do not like any others from the super market -- and/or farmers marketanymore
Had a great time Would prefer smaller tour groups
Wonderful experience. We tasted an amazing variety of apricots and other stone fruit. Went on a tour of the orchards/U pick and learned a lot about plant propagation from our very knowledgeable guide. Also enjoyed their store where we bought several incredibly fresh and delicious pies. Overall, well worth the time.
We had a great time. Learned about new varieties of cherries, nectarines, plums and peaches. The tasting was well presented and tasty. Chocolate covered apricots are a real treat. Brought the grandkids and they thoroughly enjoyed the pick your own. Worth every penny. Thanks
This was an opportunity for an educational family get together.

It was a really fun way to learn more about the varieties of fruits by tasting and hearing about them. The fruit we picked and brought home was DELICIOUS! I learned from the tour guide that it was ok to refrigerate but to allow 24-48 hours of sitting on the counter to really enjoy the fruit. So right!!
The stone fruit tasting exceeded our expectations. It was well organized. It was beautiful, clean, friendly and just a great day! This is a Bay Area must do.
I was impressed with the variety of the tasting and the tour was so thorough and informative. At first I was intimidated by the line but after it opened and there were multiple people checking those who prepaid in, it was smooth. The only minor thing I’d wish for is a list of the fruits at the tasting and shown in the tour. Even if it’s the day-of, it’s nice to have so you can plan a little more about how you want to spend your time and where. For instance, I may not want to go on the tour if it’s for fruits I am not interested in. (Usually I am interested in all fruits but I think that if I keep going to these events I may develop a preference and I would be able to be more selective especially because I come from 90 mins away.)
Andy, Orchard guides, and helpers all were knowledgeable and helpful...and the fruit was the best!!
Great picking, great tasting and very fun cute tasty store with lots of things to buy.
Very knowledgeable guide ... lots of fruit to taste ... very organized ... I LOVE YOUR APRICOTS : )
Enjoyed the fruit tasting. Good variety. Disappointed with the tour in that there was no cherry picking. I understand that it was a poor growth this year, but would have liked to know that there were no cherries on the tour at the beginning of the tour.
No cherries :(
