- A tour of the Chinatown-International district
- Access to the Wing Luke Museum and Bruce Lee exhibit
- A friendly, informative guide
i think its amazing that someone knew bruce lee when he was younger. my dad loved watching his movies and if my dad was still living on this earth he wouldve done the tour with me but he has now been gone for 21 years.
Guide was knowledgeable and food was tasty (well, Bruce had good taste). Linda Lemon
I took the tour as part of a group of four. We all felt that we learned a lot of new things about Bruce Lee. Seeing some of the places that were important in his formative years helped us understand Bruce Lee, the man, much better. I, (and my traveling companions) would highly recommend this tour.
Our tour guide, John, made it so.
Would have loved to have been able to take more pictures to show friends at home. I only really had the cardboard cut out picture to remember where I had been. Loved donny Wong and his connection with bruce lee.
Informative interesting small group and good food!!
I travelled from the UK for this tour. The tour was informative and interesting. Our guide was friendly too. Thank you for a great insight.
I liked the tour and our tour guide but it definitely wasn't about Bruce Lee, which would be fine except that's how it's being advertised...
Our docent, Don, was very knowledgeable. We enjoyed his personal stories about Bruce Lee. The lunch was very delicious.
Our guide very professional and knowledgeable. The museum gave an awesome experience!
Interesting exhibit. small but insightful. Great personal artifacts and fun pop culture memorabilia. Disappointed that we can't take pictures in the exhibit, there were some great photo ops in there. The walking tour is not bad. Covers only his time living in seattle, not his movie career, FYI, in case that's what you're looking for. But hey, I liked it and it was a great tour. . And thanks for treating us to the great service and awesome food in Bruce Lee's favorite chinese restaurant. The food was delicious.
It was wonderful to meet people who knew Mr. Lee and go to place he use to love to be.
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and we loved the lunch we had at Bruce Lee's favorite restaurant.
The person led the tour was very nice, professional and knowlegble. We had a lot of fun and learn things we didn't know about Bruce. Food at the restaurant was great and people there were so nice. There were a lot of food and we took the left over home! Exhibit was not too big but well put. The video we watched before we went outside was played where other people were around so it was hard to hear it very well but we could had watched again later if we had time. My son was not able to join so I am planning to come back later with my son. Thank you!
Maya's knowledge of Bruce Lee was amazing. She was not even born during Bruce Lee's television and movie career yet her knowledge goes far beyond mine. I was in high school and college during Bruce Lee's fame and I thought I had read everything about him but there was a lot more to learn. I hope the planned Bruce Lee event with Linda Lee, Shannon Lee and (possible) Kareem Abdul Jabbar goes this fall! Thanks again.
Maya was so knowledgeable about Bruce Lee. She was not even born during the ear of Bruce Lee and I read every book and magazine I could find about him in addition to seeing his movies multiple times at the theater, yet Maya put me to shame. I didn't know as much as I thought about Bruce Lee. I hope the graffiti on some of the historic Bruce Lee locations are covered over. Some people just don't have any respect for other people's property. The server at the Ruby Chow restaurant wasn't unpleasant but I working in a restaurant for years on makes it hard to smile at times. The person who I believed was the owner was wonderful, he cheerfully came and greeted us as we all left and made me want to come back again. My wife and I will come again thanks to this person. Maya was a great lunch companion for my wife and me.
Very fun experience! Well organized, friendly, well-educated guide. Great food. Great way to learn about Chinatown and Bruce Lee. We're telling our friends and planning to return to see the other exhibits. Lovely facility.
Our family has wanted to learn more about International District for some time, but we never felt comfortable exploring on our own. The Do You Know Bruce Tour was fantastic! Our guide Don was both informative and funny. We learned a lot about Bruce Lee and both the Japanese and Chinese heritage of this part of the city of Seattle. Part of what made our tour so interesting was that Don had actually known Bruce and worked with him at Ruby Chow's restaurant back in the day. Now that we have a better understanding of this part of town, we'll be back to explore more on our own :)
Very interesting and informative
The tour was very informational however we expected the tour to be more about Bruce Lee's life in Seattle and the tour was really about Chinatown and the Chinese lifestyle. The name of the tour should be different as it is mis-leading. Overall a good tour though.
We choose the rating mainly due to our tour guide, Donald Wong. He did an awesome job! The personal stories that he shared made the experience totally enjoyable and twice as interesting! He knew Bruce and that really drew us in. The lunch was also awesome and delicious! The people serving us at the restaurant were so friendly, explaining each dish as they brought them out. We had a person in our group that had a food alergy & they were very accomadating to him. All in all, it was a super, enjoyable experience! One we will not soon forget. Thanks to all involved!
Very informative. Loved hearing Don's stories. Lunch was fantastic. The exhibit is beautiful and am looking forward to seeing the next two updates.
Our tour guide was very informative and cordial I enjoyed the entire experience especially lunch.it was a very special experience.
The tour was OK, I suppose I expected that we would see more than just the outside of places. Our guide was really good and the lunch was good. Disappointing that we could not take photos of the museum exhibit.
I had great time with tour guide, Don. He was very funny, and frendly.
First of all, I signed and paid for the DUMPLING TOUR for 1 adult and 2 seniors (with hearing and visual challenges) the first day I received the notice by email. We arrived early and was given information to wait in the mezzanine floor where we waited. It turned out that was the gathering place for the Bruce Lee group. We were then escorted to the community meeting room where a presentation was already in place. We were not even on "any of the guide list" but Rahule (sp?) gathered us into his group. The group was much larger than the original number of 9, but we tried as best as we could to keep up....Ultimately, we had a sense of what the DUMPLILNG tour was about, and Rahule was an excellent guide. In the future, I believe we should arrange for a private tour, so mistakes, shifts in final arrangements and fewer persons are assured so we can see and hear in a smaller group of not more than 10.
Don Wong, our tour guide, was so informative, engaging, and humorous! It was a great pleasure to spend time with him touring Chinatown and enjoying such a delicious lunch! The Bruce Lee exhibit is very well done! We look forward to coming back again and again for the changing focus and displays.
Well, my experience was unlike most, as I brought my own "authority" on the tour with me(us). I brought a friend (and his wife) with me who is an (actual) nephew of "Auntie Ruby and Uncle Ping" and as a child (9-10 yrs. old) had shared some of his life with Bruce. He offered a perspective that is difficult to match. My friend is actually in a photograph currently being displayed in the Bruce Lee exhibit as well. He is in the photo with several young students. He was quite please to see the photo, as he indicated that it had been nearly 50 years since he last saw that particular photo. He along with tour guide, John, made for a very knowledgeable and informative tour and I thank you for making this experience a very special and memorable one.
This was a great first hand look into the life of Bruce Lee while he lived in Seattle. My son wanted to see his grave, but I think we gained so much more by looking into the life of this man vs his death. The Wing Luke and its employees made this a fantastic experience and kept a smile on my kiddo's face the entire time!
The tour guide was awesome. I am looking forward to more tours. This tour was great and the people taking part in the tour were great. I'm looking forward to spending more time in China Town enjoying the experience.
Our guide was informative and entertaining. The tour was interesting, and lunch was great!!
We spent over 4 hours at the exhibit. What a treat - our family has a history going back in Seattle over 125 years so it was very special. Thrilled to know that our guide was the grand-nephew of Wing Luke as well. Plus lunch at "Tai Tung", a favorite childhood restaurant. The bonus was a gorgeous sunny day!
We were greeted by a lovely woman who actually addressed us by our name, which was a great, friendly start...a beautiful smile and lovely presence at the front desk. After watching a short video about Bruce Lee and some unknown (to us) information about Mr.Lee, we were introduced to our Tour Guide (my husband thinks his name was Mike) he was sooo informative, although he started out his tour by asking both of us what brings us to the Museum and what do we know about Bruce Lee. My husband was able to contribute some tidbits about him and our Guide nodded in agreement. And then we were off! The Walking Tour includes some of Bruce Lee's favorite hang-outs, we sat in the booth reserved for him & friends/family at his favorite restaurant in Chinatown, ate some of his favorite dishes, and our Tour Guide shared so many good stories about Bruce Lee and his family. We have already got feedback from friends that The Wing should expect them to visit soon!
