• The Welland Canal - As the tour passes the Welland Canal, you’ll observe a crucial piece of Canadian infrastructure essential for international trade. This man-made waterway connects Lake Ontario to Lake Erie, bypassing Niagara Falls and enabling large ships to travel between these two great lakes.
• Mackenzie Printery & Newspaper Museum - Passing by the Mackenzie Printery and Newspaper Museum, you’ll see an important part of Canadian history. Located in Queenston, this museum honors William Lyon Mackenzie, a pivotal figure in the Rebellions of 1837 and the founder of Canada’s first newspaper, the Colonial Advocate.
• Fort George National Historic Site of Canada - As the tour passes Fort George, you’ll view a significant military site from the War of 1812. This national historic site marks where British forces and their allies resisted the American invasion of Upper Canada.
