After lunch, we were granted the freedom to explore the falls at our leisure. The sight of the cascading water, its thunderous roar echoing in the air, was a sensory feast. Though the river’s icy embrace prevented us from embarking on the famed Hornblower cruise, the alternative, Journey Behind the Falls, offered an intimate glimpse into the power and beauty of this natural wonder. Standing so close to the falls, enveloped in mist, was a moment of pure enchantment.
