• Agia Sofia Cave - Just 1 hour and 45 minutes from Rethymno, you will find the picturesque gorge of Topolia Village. Here, a 300-meter-high wall and the quaint chapel of Agia Sofia, nestled in a cave, await exploration.

Visitors can marvel at the numerous stalactites and enjoy the stunning view of the gorge. ‘The Romanza’ canteen offers a delightful selection of Cretan specialties and treats. Traditional Cretan attire, worn by local men, adds to the charm of the area.

This stop lasts approximately 30 minutes before continuing south.

• Chrisoskalitissa Monastery - A visit to the Chrisoskalitissa Monastery is essential. Legend has it that one of the 90 steps to the top is a Golden Stair, giving the monastery its name. It is believed that only those without sin can see the Golden Stair. The monastery is lovingly maintained by its devoted nuns, and the surrounding views are breathtaking. This stop lasts about half an hour before heading directly to the beach.
• Elafonissi Beach - Arriving at Elafonissi around noon, visitors will find one of the island’s most stunning beaches, located on the southwest coast. The white and pink coral sands create a tropical ambiance. To the right, shallow waters in a small enclosed lagoon provide a perfect spot for children.

A walk through the lagoon to the islet is highly recommended, revealing a unique coastline.

The coral sands and warm, shallow waters attract swimmers, spear fishermen, and windsurfers from around the globe.

• Elos - The journey concludes with a traditional meal at a Cretan tavern in the village of Elos.

We embark on a picturesque drive across the magnificent landscapes from the North shore to the South West, passing through quaint mountain villages, leading us to the stunning Elafonissi beach in Crete, famed as one of its most beautiful coastlines.

Elafonissi is a small island situated so near to the seashore that it’s easily accessible by foot. The beach is characterized by spectacularly transparent, turquoise waters and fine grains of white and coral-red sand, creating a vista of rare beauty!

You’ll witness the splendid natural scenery of Crete and visit traditional villages that will offer you a glimpse of the unique Cretan way of life.

Another noteworthy stop on our journey is the Agia Sofia Cave, renowned for its striking stalactites and stalagmites, as well as the Hrisoskalitissa monastery.
