• Planeta Cacao - Planeta Cacao is a stunning cacao garden designed to celebrate the history of cacao on Mexico’s Pacific coast, offering an educational experience. Situated in the rural area of El Tondoroque, Bahía de Banderas Nayarit, it is just 15 minutes from Puerto Vallarta and only 5 minutes from Nuevo Vallarta or Bucerias.

Visitors will explore the global history of cacao and chocolate, learn about the cacao tree and its cultural significance, and discover ethnohistorical information about cacao in the Bay of Banderas, where it has been cultivated in Nayarit for over a thousand years. The nutritional benefits of this superfood are highlighted, along with an artisan chocolate workshop that demonstrates the process from cultivation, harvesting, fermentation, drying, to grinding of this valuable seed.

The exhibition area features ancient utensils, cocoa-based drinks, a traditional mud kitchen, and a chocolate store offering homemade products. Various activities are available, including a chocolate workshop that provides 2 hours of creative fun, where participants can taste cacao drinks and learn to craft handmade chocolate. The kitchen eagerly awaits your visit.
