Trekking sticks and helmets will be provided. The hike will commence at 4100 meters above sea level and typically takes 3 hours to reach the summit. The initial stage involves walking 1 kilometer to the crater’s edge, offering a view of the two lakes (4280 meters). The next stage involves descending to the Lake of the Moon and finding the path to ascend again to the first set of peaks, returning to the crater’s edge (4400 meters). The hike continues along the edge, with some rock climbing, until reaching the summit at 4680 meters. The return journey usually takes another 3 hours back to the vehicle. Lunch or snacks can be enjoyed at any time during the hike.
