The moment I arrived in Tolmin, the anticipation of kayaking on the Soca River was palpable. Upon reaching the Aktivni Planet office in Bovec, I was greeted warmly by the staff. The atmosphere was relaxed yet buzzing with excitement. After securing my kayak ticket, I took a moment to enjoy a freshly brewed coffee, soaking in the vibrant energy of fellow adventurers. We were soon divided into small groups, each led by an experienced guide. I was fortunate to be in Feli’s group, a passionate kayaker who exuded confidence and warmth.

The equipment provided was top-notch, clean, and professional. As we were transported to the river’s edge, the excitement in the van was contagious. Feli’s instructions were clear and concise, ensuring everyone felt comfortable and prepared. Her ability to switch between English and Dutch was a bonus for those less fluent in English, making everyone feel included.
