Absolutely stunning - We were picked up from our hotel in the morning around 6.30am. On the way to La Malinche (takes approx 1 to 1.5 hours) we stopped at a small store to get some snacks for breakfast. 2l of water/ sports drink, some snacks and a bigger meal are provided by the tour organiser for the hike, so we just bought some protein bars. After we arrived at the trailhead, it took us approximately 8 hours to summit, including spending around 30 mins at the top, and go down again. Throughout the hike our guide Daniel was super attentive and continuously asked us whether we felt OK, needed anything etc, and we felt very safe and well cared for! We sometimes hike in the German alps (our home country), yet the hike was challenging for us, foremost due to the high altitude. The elevation of the trailhead is 3000m and the elevation of the summit is approx 4500m. We spent a few days in Mexico City to get used to the altitude before attempting this hike. Like this it was manageable. We were also given helmets for safety and walking poles to assist with the hike. Note that the last section just below the summit includes some scrambling on a rocky surface. The views from La Malinche were absolutely stunning and we could also see smoke rising from Popocatépetl in the distance! We are very happy to have booked this tour and would do it again any time. Thank you so much Daniel!!

Hiking to Malinche with Carlos - We wen to Mount Malinche with Carlos, it was a long Hike 15km and pretty difficult. He provided us with food and water, despite some of us struggling Carlos always allowed us to make some rests. He was very polite and friendly. Recommendation for everybody who wants to do a more difficult hike, but the view at the end was amazing.

Magnífica experiencia - An unforgettable experience at La Malinche thanks to Mario Climbing La Malinche was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had, and a huge part of that was thanks to Mario, our guide. From the very beginning, he showed deep knowledge of the mountain, always attentive, motivating, and highly professional. Thanks to his preparation and experience, the hike felt safe, exciting, and full of learning moments. He guided us through every part of the trail—from the forest to the summit—with patience and enthusiasm. I 100% recommend this experience, especially with Mario leading the way. He truly made it all worth it. Thank you for everything!
