Great experience & highly recommended - We did the half-day morning safari today. Our driver Maduka was extremely friendly, accommodating and knew well. He navigated us safely through the hilly park and shared his great knowledge of the animals with us. We have seen countless animals and had an unforgettable experience. I can only recommend this booking to anyone!!

Half day tour Yala (morning session). - Half day tour in Yala National Park (morning session) Organised through WhatsApp. Everything regarding the booking was very clear. We did a private jeep for 2 people, pick up and drop up from the hotel and included a traditional breakfast (all prices included the park entrance fees). Our guide was Sirmal who was experienced. We saw elephants, buffalos, dears, lots of different birds, monkeys and lots more in the 3-4 hour session (6am- 11.30ish). You may have seen videos regarding the jeeps (lots of them!) don’t let that put you off. Yes there is a lot when you get to the park entrance and they cue up at the gate. However once you are in the park it’s massive and often you don’t see anyone else for long periods of time. We waited around 15/20 minutes at the rest station before going in to let the cue die down. Unfortunately we didn’t see a leopard, there was one in the area but it didn’t show its face. Seeing a leopard is down to chance but well worth the tour to see everything else! Apparently the day before there was lots of sightings of the leopards. Overall a great experience not many places in the world you can see that much wildlife in a few hours and for a very reasonable price.

An incredible full day tour thanks to Ishan - Wow... amazing! Ishan was our tour guide and he was fantastic. His ability to track and spot leopards is of another world... and not just leopards (of which we saw four), elephants, mongoose, monkeys, crocodiles, monitor lizards, owls, snakes, tortoise, a very quick glimpse of a sloth bear, deer, and a large selection of wonderful birds etc. We did the full day tour and every aspect of it was incredible.

Absolutely beautiful experience - We had a full day safari with Ishan. We have seen many great animals, elephants up close, leopards, water buffalo, antelopes, some birds and even a lip bear. Ishan gave everything to ensure that we saw as many animals as possible and were very close to them and was in constant contact with the other guides. Without him, we probably wouldn't have seen all the animals. It was a very nice experience that we would definitely repeat and can recommend.

Fantastic safari at Yala National Park - This tour was fantastic! Everything worked as planned. Pick-up on time, the tour guide Damith, was super experienced and that made all the difference. We were able to see all the must see animals (elephants, crocodiles, many deers, water buffalos, birds and of course the leopards) We had a great time! Thanks Damith for the great experience

Top shop safari - Absolutely incredible!!! We know these things are luck and chance but we felt we saw everything and i feel a lot of this was down to how well our driver managed everything and ensured we were always in the best position to see everything. He was friendly, knowledgeable and engaged with us throughout! Overall he help to create more enjoyable atmosphere throughout the day. It was a long day but there was plently of water on board and the food provided was delicious.

Seen a lot of animals - A very nice safari done. We were picked up early in the morning at the agreed time in front of our hotel. Pick up time was also communicated with us in advance. Our driver Damit had a lot of experience. And made sure we could see enough elephants, crocodiles and even 2 leopards.

Overpriced Safari with Limited Value - The safari experience felt overpriced for what was provided, especially when compared with similar wildlife safaris in Southeast Asia. As mentioned in the exclusions, park entry fees are not included in the tour price. For foreign passport holders, this fee is typically around USD 35–40 (approximately LKR 12,000 per person), while locals pay around LKR 500. This is a significant price disparity, and it’s unclear whether these funds are being effectively used by the government to maintain or develop the national park. Another concern is the lack of transparency around the entry fees. Payments appear to be handled entirely in cash between the safari drivers and park officials at the gate, and there is no clear online source confirming the official entry price, making it difficult for visitors to verify what they are actually paying. The park itself is beautiful, but the safari routes were heavily crowded with jeeps, which likely disturbs wildlife and reduces the overall experience. That said, we were fortunate to see a large number of elephants in the wild, which was a highlight. Yala National Park is undoubtedly a stunning destination, but the experience feels overly commercialised and driven by tourism, with limited value for visitors relative to the cost. The tour guides themselves were friendly and informative, which we appreciated. However, based on the overall value and experience, I would not recommend this safari. This is coming from an ex Sri Lankan citizen.
