Enlightening Jaunt - Not your run of the mill tour…Anton serves up an unconventional local eye narrative of this unrecognized state. There is a structured looseness to the proceedings with commentary delivered at light speed. Take the “Off Tie Beaten Path” option, you will be happy you did.

Those who return from a trip are never the same person who left - Those who return from a trip are never the same person who left... and this great experience with Anton gives you many questions that you do not necessarily find the answer to. Anton takes you to see the most touristic places in Transnistria and makes you take nice souvenir photos, but that's probably not the point, it's not what you take home. What you learn is that in this "state that does not exist" there are people like us, who have their lives, who work and who have their interests and their passions and who suffer more than anyone else this situation of legal limbo. It is not for the traveller to say what a state really is, but to know new worlds and new people!

A unique day spent in Pridnestrovie - I booked my tour very last minute and Anton was extremely accommodating and arranged a ride to pick me up in Chisinau the next morning to join the tour in Tiraspol. He is an excellent and not a typical tour guide you might find elsewhere. Our tour visited some main attractions, and a number of hidden spots typical travellers would not have access to or have ideas to visit - which I won’t spoil here. Anton explains the backstories plus his personal insights about each stop we made. What was unique is that we had the chance to interact with locals firsthand on multiple occasions to hear their stories. I am a history and culture buff, and did extensive researches before my visit. I still learned a lot about the history of Pridnestrovie and the country’s complications with its neighbours. I decided to extend my tour with him 1 on 1 so we travelled in his car a bit further to Bendery and the surroundings, where we had more detailed conversations about the country and its past. Anton had no problems answering my questions that some may find political/controversial. He was also willing to stop at any place upon my request to take photos and sightsee. Finally, we said good bye and he arranged a ride for me back to Tiraspol, with a stop at Sheriff FC’s merch shop at the stadium on my request. All in all, a truly unique experience that was not only eye opening, informative, and fun. Thank you again Anton and I recommend anyone visiting Pridnestrovie to reach out to him to tailor your own itinerary with him. I found him from Reddit recommendations but he can be found on the official PMR Tourism website and his Facebook page called Transnistria travel

it’s better to see it once with open eyes than hear about it a hundred times - What an unforgettable day in Pridnestrovie! I joined a one-day trip with Antón, and it was absolutely worth it. He didn’t just show us the sights — he opened a window into everyday life here. Antón answered all of our questions with patience and passion, and even stopped locals on the street so we could talk with them directly and learn more about their experiences. It was fascinating, genuine, and eye-opening. It’s true what they say: it’s better to see it once than hear about it a hundred times. If you want to truly understand this unique place, go with Antón — you won’t regret it!

An adventure through Pridnestrovie! - Anton took me on an amazing trip to see the real Pridnestrovie. I had a great time seeing both the city and countryside, and it was wonderful to chat with the locals through Anton’s translations. There are plenty of surprises along the way! Despite what the UK government says, Pridnestrovie feels very safe and the locals are friendly and welcoming. Thank you, Anton - I’d definitely recommend this adventure!

The Best Way to Experience Pridnestrovie! - This is the only tour you need to book in PMR! Anton is a fantastic guide and tailors each ‘tour’ (more of a day spent with a local than a traditional tour) to what guests are most interested in learning and experiencing in PMR. We hugely appreciated the conversations we had with Anton throughout the day as he showed us both the main sites and hidden gems. Anton also facilitated/translated for us to have discussions with locals on their feelings about Pridnestrovie’s independence and lack of recognition, Soviet history, and current geopolitics. We learned so much. It’s one thing to read about a place and another thing to experience it and hear from locals firsthand. A few other quick things: •Anton’s English is great. •If you book the option to be picked up outside PMR rather than driving yourself, you’ll likely be picked up by Dima (he’s great too, but doesn’t speak much English). •We were two female travelers and felt completely safe the entire time. •We had a great lunch at Back in the USSR (would recommend), but Anton can suggest other places based on your preferences. We had a great day with Anton and would definitely book again if we come back!

Have you ever wondered what it’s really like to live in a country that doesn’t exist? - Visiting Pridnestrovie is quite an amazing experience itself, but doing it with Anton is the best way to really understand and connect to the inner core of PMR. Anton is not a simple guide that bores you with historical details such names, dates, and so on: he is very passionate about his country, and as a local citizen he will explain you how really life is in “the country that doesn’t exist” (but I swear it exists!) and he will surprise you with hidden gems, anecdotes and jokes. Pridnestrovie has always been my bucket destination, and today I’ve spent an unforgettable day exploring Tiraspol, Bender and other amazing spots in between. Grazie mille di tutto Anton! Sei il migliore!

10/10 experience, worth every penny! - I had genuinely one of the best and most eye-opening experiences of my life during this tour. This isn’t someone hopping on an internet trend — Anton opens up to his audience and shows them what it really feels like to be a citizen to a “country that doesn’t exist”. Yet he still keeps the mood alive with pop quizzes and incredible energy. As someone who has traveled extensively, I can’t say I’ve ever had a better experience than I did with Anton. I can’t say this enough: book Anton for an experience of a lifetime!

One day PMR tour with Anton - I visited PMR with Anton in September 2025 and it was a truly insightful and enjoyable experience. Anton got in touch a couple of days before my visit to make arrangements for travelling to the PMR and discuss any specific requirements for the day. I travelled from Chișinău and the boarder crossing was straightforward with my British passport. There were no questions and I was given my slip of paper to permit entry, which you can keep as a cool souvenir! What to say about the day....well just like others have said, Anton made it so much more than a sightseeing tour. We walked the streets of Bendery and Tiraspol peeling away the layers of the geopolitical onion that is "the country that does not exist". What better way to understand life in the USSR than hear first-hand from a Babushka who grew up during that time. And what about the future for young people today?....well when we passed the university we asked students where they saw their future going. Everyone was so friendly and wanted to share their stories. The PMR is a truly unique country and is well worth a visit. It felt incredibly safe and Anton's humour, knowledge, and insights made for a truly unforgettable experience. Of course, you could just take the bus or taxi there and wonder to the main sights yourself, but only by going with a local like Anton will you begin understand the intricacies of this special part of the world and the people who call it their home. Overall, one of the most honest, insightful, and enjoyable day-trips I've had travelling anywhere in the world.
