- Skanderbeg Square - The tour will include a visit to the Et’hem Bey Mosque, the oldest structure in Tirana and a significant symbol of the city. The history and exquisite decorations of the mosque will be discussed. Nearby, the Clock Tower stands as another emblem of old Tirana and was once the tallest building. The tour will also cover other historical landmarks such as the National Bank of Albania, the National Museum, Hotel Tirana, the Palace of Culture, and Tirana Municipality.
- Rruga Murat Toptani - The route will pass by the Bunk Art 2 museum, which focuses on Communist atrocities, the Castle of Toptani, and the Prince’s Residence. The tour will also pass by the House of Parliament and the new Mosque, which is set to be the largest in the Balkans and is still under construction.
- Bulevardi Dëshmorët e Kombit - A leisurely walk along Tirana’s Main Boulevard will include sights such as the Pyramid, which served as Dictator Hoxha’s Museum after his death, the Prime Ministry, the Presidency, Parliament Offices, University, Academy of Arts, National Stadium, and more.
- Blloku - Formerly the residential area for communist leaders, Ex-Blloku was off-limits to ordinary citizens. The tour will pass by Hoxha’s house, where he lived during his rule over Communist Albania. Visitors will gain insight into what this area represented during the communist era and how it has transformed into one of the most lively and impressive places in Tirana today.
- The Cave of Pellumbas - The journey will head southeast towards Pellumbasi village to explore the cave in the area, with a drive of approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival, the path to the cave will be taken, which runs alongside the Erzeni River, known for its clear blue waters in summer and scenic canyons. After about an hour’s walk, the cave entrance will be reached. Visitors should prepare with head or hand lights, change shoes if possible due to the muddy interior, and bring an extra t-shirt as the cave is cooler than outside. The Pellumbasi cave is of karstic origin, measuring about 150 meters in length, 10-15 meters in width, and 45 meters in height. Exploration will take around 30 minutes. Caution is advised due to the presence of bats!

Experience a day trip that will provide you an insight into the history and culture of Tirana city, followed by a pleasant walk in nature to explore an extraordinary bat cave, located 15 km east. For a period of 3 hours, we will roam around the key neighborhoods of Tirana—discussing its historical evolution from Roman, Ottoman periods, through the Communist era to the present. Our journey will span from the major areas like the Main Square, Toptani region, Main Boulevard, to the former Blloku area.
Subsequently, we will journey southeast to the village of Pellumbasi to explore the cave situated there—approximately a 30-minute drive. We will then embark on a trail that leads to the cave, tracing along the Erzeni River, known for its crystal-clear blue water in the summer and charming canyons. After a short hike of approximately one hour, we will reach the cave’s entrance. Prepared with head or hand lights, and perhaps a change of shoes due to expected mud, an extra t-shirt is recommended as the inside temperature is cooler than outside. The Pellumbasi cave, a karstic formation, measures around 150m in length, 10-15m in width and 45m in height.
