Start your journey with a pickup from your accommodation and embark on a picturesque drive to Lake Bovilla. Observe the suburban life of Tirana as you travel through the city towards the countryside.
Upon nearing Lake Bovilla, witness the impressive dam. Marvel at the lake’s sparkling teal and turquoise waters, nestled at the foot of Gamti Mountain. Begin your hike up the mountain, immersing yourself in the serene natural surroundings. -
Gamti Mountain - After approximately 40 minutes of hiking, arrive at the mountain’s balcony and take in the vast, rolling forests and hills that stretch out before you. At your feet, enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Bovilla. Feel the fresh mountain air on your face in this setting of pure natural beauty.

Min Altitude: 460 m
Max Altitude: 620 m
Elevation: 160 m
Distance up and down: 1.95 km (0.97 km one way)
Take a break to sip water and chat in the shade of a mountain cave before descending the mountain along the same path.
FREE TIME: During the tour, the guide will provide free time to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of Bovilla Lake. Use this time to have your own snacks or drinks, or opt to enjoy lunch at the local restaurant.

Lake Bovilla - After completing your hike, conclude your trip by visiting the riverbank and admire the unique, canyon-like landscape as you splash and paddle in the refreshing waters.
Note: Swimming in the river is available only from May to September. - Tirana - After a wonderful experience, return to Tirana and be dropped off at the same location where you were picked up.

PICK UP: Even with hotel pick-up, guests may need to walk 1–10 minutes (longer for hotels outside urban areas) to the nearest recommended meeting point.

Great Hike with Amazing Bovilla Lake Views - This tour is definitely worth the time. Our tour guide, Paola, was great. I’ll admit she’s pretty, but more importantly she was very knowledgeable about Albanian culture and shared interesting information throughout the trip.
She made sure everyone could keep up during the hike and checked in with people along the way. She also gave helpful recommendations for places to visit and food to try in Tirana and even provided a list of suggestions.
The tour itself was awesome. The bus ride was comfortable—especially on the way back after the hike. But the best part is the scenery. The views during the climb are beautiful, and once you reach the top it’s peaceful and completely worth the effort.
If I come back to Tirana, I would definitely do this hike again.

Climb with amazing views - We had friendly and super helpful guide Paola. She welcomed us with the smile and cracked some jokes during the trip to make everything more enjoyable. The price for experience is very reasonable and so much worth it.To people with movement issues I wouldn’t recommend as there is climbing involved. We did enjoy!Thank you Paola.

Stunning scenery - great guide - Ervin was a great guide - calm and very informative. The views are beautiful. Proper walking footwear needed and stay within what you feel comfortable doing. Not for those with vertigo :) An incredible experience thank you so much. Also restaurant is extremely good.

Hard work at 56 with moderate fitness but worth it. - Irvin, our guide, had excellent English and gave an interesting and quirky commentary on the way up. The hike was challlenging for me (56 and not particularly fit) and I did not do the last part. The views were beautiful regardless and I sat in the restaurant while everyone else went up. Suggest walking Charlie Chaplin on the way down - the shingles are very slippy. Greaf day though. Great value and worthwhile. Thanks Irvin and Mohammed.

Great trip would recommend - Bovilla lake was amazing and Ervin was a really good guide! This is a proper climb but you are given lots of opportunities to adapt if needed

Great trip - I really enjoyed the trip. I was traveling solo and this trip helped me to meet new people and the host, Ervin was such a nice guide. I got lost on my way back but he helped me to get back on the right route and he reassured. I really enjoyed it.

Great hike - We had a great time with Ervin, the tour guide. The hike is amazing. It’s definitely a work out ! But we managed to finish it with a 6 year old. The views make it so worth it!

Excellent - Very cool experience. Ervin was an excellent guide, not the safest hike in the world, good shoes and good spatial awareness required to get up Mount Gamti! Would recommend.
