Durrës, known as an “Open Book of History,” showcases 25 centuries of civilization. Originally a Greek colony, the city has experienced many significant historical events, many of which are still visible today.
Enjoy a city tour of Durrës, including visits to the Roman Amphitheater, the Medieval Market, and other historical sites.
After exploring Durrës, proceed to Berat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site often called the “City of a Thousand Windows.” Berat exemplifies Ottoman architecture mixed with cultural influences. Discover the historic neighborhoods of Kala, Mangalem, and Gorica, including the Orthodox Monastery “Dormition of Saint Mary” and the Onufri Museum of Iconography.

Continue to the Archaeological Park of Butrint, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Albania’s most significant archaeological locations. Once a Greek colony and later a Roman city, Butrint has been inhabited since prehistoric times and contains ruins from various civilizations. Along the way, enjoy panoramic views of the renowned Three Islands of Ksamil, one of the most stunning sights along the Ionian coast.
Following the visit to Butrint, return to Sarandë for lunch before heading to Gjirokastër.
