Highlights

Marrakech - Aït Benhaddou - High Atlas - Telouet - Skoura - Dades Canyon Valley

Dadès Gorges - Departure from Marrakech is scheduled for 7:00 am. The journey will take approximately 2 hours through the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi ‘n Tichka pass, with stops for photographs and breakfast. A visit to the town of Telouet and its historic 17th-century kasbah is included.
Next, the route leads towards Ouarzazate, where the UNESCO World Heritage site Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah will be explored. Lunch will be enjoyed here, followed by a visit to the Atlas Film Studios. The journey continues to Skoura, a town offering views of numerous stunning kasbahs, en route to Dades Valley. Overnight accommodation will be at a hotel in Dades Valley.

Dades Gorges - Todra Gorge - Erfoud - Merzouga - Camel Trek - Desert Camp

Merzouga - Following breakfast, the trip proceeds to Todgha city to discover Todra Gorge, then onward to Tinjdad village for lunch.
Post-lunch, the journey continues through the towns of Arfoud and Rissani towards Merzouga, home to Erg Chebbi, Morocco’s tallest sand dunes. Arrival at the hotel is expected in the late afternoon or early evening, allowing time to relax by the pool and enjoy Berber tea. At approximately 5:30 pm, a camel ride from the hotel through the desert dunes will take about 1.5 hours. Upon reaching the Berber tents, there will be time to unwind, enjoy Berber tea with nomads at the camp, partake in sandboarding on the dunes, and watch the sunset. Dinner will be served at the camp, followed by music around the campfire. Overnight stay will be in the Berber tent.

Merzouga - Rissani - Draa Valley - Ouarzazate - Marrakech

Marrakech - An early morning wake-up is planned to witness the sunrise, followed by time at the camp to enjoy sandboarding, breakfast, and a shower. Camels will then be ridden back to Merzouga to meet the driver. The return journey to Marrakech includes a stop for lunch, with an estimated arrival time of around 7:00 pm.

Great experience - We had Karim as our driver and guide. He was very pleasant, attentive, and helpful. He took us to beautiful spots for taking photos and gave us detailed explanations about the places we visited. I definitely recommend him — it was a great experience.

Amazing Merzouga Desert tour with camel trek and desert camping led by Abdullah - This tour was easily the highlight of our entire trip to Morocco. It was well planned, with plenty of stops on longer driving days and an incredible time in the Merzouga desert. Every detail was planned for us so we didn’t have to worry about anything but enjoying ourselves. The vehicle was clean and comfortable, our accommodations were beautiful (even in the desert!), the stops for photos and sight seeing were well thought out, and we got to have so many unique experiences in just a few days! Our guide, Abdullah, was the highlight of the experience. His knowledge of the area and desire to share his culture with us provided a unique and amazing trip. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Morocco and would do it again myself in a heartbeat.

Authentic desert experience - What a fabulous trip! Abdul, our private driver, picked us up directly at our hotel and gave us 3 very full days of adventure! We had a private tour of Ait Ben Houdda walking all the way up to the top of the Kasbah, saw stunning gorges, stopped at several places going through the Atlas Mountains to get great photos and pick up some souvenirs of Morroco. My husband even learned how to play the bongo - sort of😉 and got a kiss from a camel! The experience of a lifetime was riding camels into the desert to a luxury tented camp, having a traditional Moroccan dinner complete with a campfire and local music, and riding the camels back through the dunes in the morning. The trip back to Marrakech turned out to be something no one could have predicted. The road through the mountains closed due to snow as we made our way so Abdul and Rachid made the wise decision to take us all the way around the south end of the mountains (an extra 8 hours!) to get us back to Marrakech in time for our flight. They really went above and beyond to make sure we were safe. We will definitely go back to Morroco to explore more of the country and will make sure we have Abdul as our escort.

Peace of Paradise 🌵 - Our driver Karim went above and beyond the call of duty a true professional. Our first evening was at the beautiful Riad Dades Birds - yummiest lemon chicken ever! Once we arrived at the desert and allocated our camel 🐪 our trek began, stopping to admire the sunset. Our campsite was lovely and to my surprise all tents had an ensuite. A hearty dinner was presented and definitely enjoyed. The night was finished off around the fire with drums, songs and laughter. Early but yummy breakfast for those who choose to ride the camels back to the starting point. I did this trip with my 19 year old son and would do it again in a heartbeat. No hesitation in recommending Discover Morocco Tours.

Excellent experience with Discover Morocco - We just got back from our first trip to Morocco. As part of it we did 3 day / 2 night tour to Merzouga desert via Atlas Mountains and Ait Ben Haddou. Rachid organised the tour with great professionalism and the driver Abdul showed us key sights and took care for the trip to be a good experience. Both Rachid and Abdul treated us with kindness and care. We really enjoyed the trip and hope to go to Morocco again in future, if so we'll come back to Discover Morocco tours for sure! Great experience :) - We did the 3-day-trip from Fes to Marrakech via Merzouga with Rachid. 1. Route: it is very complete. Although we booked the tour for the desert trip, we were surprised by the rest of the things we discovered. The car is a confortable 4x4 and we could stop for break/wc whenever we wanted. 2. Guide: Rachid knows all places to stop (even the best hour to take photos) and he tries to avoid busy places that don’t worth it. We think that going with him is the best way to take profit of the trip. He tooked us to small places to have lunch that were really tasty and he explained us a lot of things about Moroccan culture and traditions. We definitely recommend this tour, it worth the price and Rachid is the perfect guide. Laura & Emili

Unforgettable Moroccan experience - We opted for a guided tour of the desert as part of our recent visit to mesmerising Morocco. Although we were sure we had made the correct choice of selecting 'Discover Morocco Tours' through the very professional & efficient manner of interaction by Rachid throughout, this was cemented by the overall experience with our tour guide Abdul. We had taken an immediate liking to him upon our meeting in Marrakech. He has a pleasant demeanour & made us feel comfortable for the duration of the tour. Abdul is extremely professional, yet polite & friendly, and is always considerate & accommodating in his approach. We had the opportunity to learn lots about local culture through his willingness to share. He also provided us with great tips as tourists. Abdul was absolutely amazing! We will certainly make use of this company again in future & will recommend them to anyone wanting a more enriched Morocco experience.

Beautiful country; Wonderful people - My group of 4 people had an awesome experience with Discover Morocco Tours. Rachid, the owner, provided excellent customer service. He was very quick to respond at any time of day, and very accommodating when we encountered an (unexpected) change in the clock due to Ramadan. Truly exceptional experience before, during, and after our tour thanks to Rachid. But the real star of our trip was Abdul, our driver. His English is impressive to say the least. We had absolutely zero difficulty communicating with him. My sister, a certified TEFL instructor, and Abdul had conversations about the nuances of English that even went over my head. That was just one small aspect of Abdul though. He was beyond friendly; he took generosity and warmth to a new level, and took incredible care of us on our tour. He genuinely cared about our safety and well-being, and made sure that we were looked after and well taken care of by all of the locals that we encountered. He taught us so much about Morocco and the various cultures, landscapes, and history. I can’t begin to thank him enough, truly. In our (way too fast) 4 days with him, we became like family. Abdul showed us many truly authentic Moroccan experiences and we are forever grateful. We were all deeply saddened when it came time to depart, not knowing if or when we will see each other again. He is a huge part of mine and my wife’s desire to return to Morocco. We plan to keep in touch for a very long time to come, and wish him (and Rachid) nothing but the best as they continue to operate and provide 5 star experiences to visitors of Morocco.

Abdul-utely the BEST Tour! - My husband and I traveled to Morocco with my sister-in-law and her husband. We were promptly picked up at our Riad by the man that we would soon learn was our incredible tour guide and soon to be great friend, Abdul. Our time in Morocco was greatly enhanced by the decision to book with Discover Morocco Tours, owing to Abdul's enthusiasm, knowledge and sincerity. I could go on and on about how booking this 3 day tour (which we optionally extended for a 4th day) made our entire 2 week trip, but I encourage you to find out for yourself. I would highly recommend booking your tour experience with Discover Morocco Tours, and don't hesitate to ask for Abdul as your guide. Though if he's not available, I am confident anyone else Rachid assigns will also ensure you have a great experience!
