Perfect ride to Shell Key! - This is a Must Do! Capt Greg and Brayland were very informative. We found a crab claw and a few shells. Bring umbrella, no shade.

Informative and relaxing - Had a great trip to Shell Key. Sierra and capt provided a lot of information and happily answered questions from the travelers. On way they pointed out a couple of dolphins. Relaxing trip to a quiet beach to check for shells and swim.

Amazing She’ll Beach Experience - Greg and his helper were amazing! She even made shell necklaces for the kids on board to remember the trip! The beach was pretty empty and my little family enjoyed the privacy. We seen a manatee, dolphin, and sting ray! Lots and lots of shells to gather too!

Great shelling and fun boat ride! - Everything was great about this trip. I was traveling with my family, which includes my 94-year old mother, my husband and our 12-year old son. Even though my mother has mobility issues (she just moves s l o w l y, but she’s allowed - she’s 94!!) the boat was easy for her to navigate and the crew (both women) were FANTASTIC!! The captain was knowledgeable and the first mate was kind and jovial - they really made the trip a lot of fun!! Once we arrived to the island (after a very entertaining and informative journey through t some of the coastal waters), the shelling was INSANE! I figured we’d see *some* shells, but they were literally EVERYWHERE!! I was worried that they’d be picked over as we were the second trip of the day, but (duh) the ocean is constantly moving, so the shells are regularly washed ashore (again - DUH!!). Recommendations: Bring some different sized bags for your finds; wear hiking sandals (ones with ankle straps are best); bring a hat and sunscreen - it can be hot and there is very little shade once you’re on the island; bring snackies and some water - they have limited items for sale on the boat, but if you’re particular (like my family ) you might want to bring specific foodstuffs.

Don't use Viator for this excursion! - Viator screwed us over! I realized I had made a mistake in my booking (did ferry+camping but only wanted ferry). When I called to fix the problem I was told that there was nothing they could do because it was less than 24 hours before the excursion. BS! It would take one human ten seconds to flick a switch and fix it. So, a trip that should have cost $39.95 per person cost $54.95 pp instead. Also, it's on $35 each if you book it through Hubbards Marina. Go to their website! The tour itself was fine.

Without Todd - My family has been coming here for 7 years since they started. There are many islands with shells you can go to in Florida some even better but what made us come back year after year & refer friends and family was the experience created by Captain Todd he made this a night and day experience after our most recent trip all the prices have gone up taking advantage of the tourism and have become less enjoyable for us. All they care about is money now - The new crew are like “robots” they dont care about your experience with new cookie cutter rules i mean even one of them rushed up on us after parking and told us to hurry it up and get to the ticket booth to sign in although we were 1 hr early! The captain was annoyed when my wife spotted dolphins and the attitudes were all less personable. Todd would have been excited to see dolphins slow down so everyone can take pics and throw out some fun facts and would help make a memorable experience even take pictures for you of your family if the weather was bad on the island he would make up for it by taking us on a small detour journey around the bridge area because he knew that people pay good money for this also he would give out sand dollars for kids who didnt get any and let kids pick out theyre own music and sit in captain seat as if driving the boat - with him gone its bad no personality no music no joy no shells the island is saturated we will no longer come back and will be telling everyone about how bad theyve changed. It really sucks because we have some beautiful memories here until they turned corporate and ruined all the good things about this experience. Definitely lost a long time family.
