- Fort De Soto Park - Explore Outback Key, a stunning barrier island that separates the Gulf from the Shell Key nature preserve. In the summer, the island hosts over 100 sea turtle nests. This can be one of the stops, or the only stop, with 2 or 3 delightful spots to explore on the island. The choice is yours, and another sandbar can be visited if desired.
