- Maiji Mountain - Guests will be picked up from their hotel by our guide and driver to visit the Maijishan Grottoes, one of China’s four most renowned Buddhist Grottoes. Located south of Tianshui, it is a 45-minute drive from the city. The grottoes were initially constructed in the 4th century and served as a significant Buddhist site on the ancient Silk Road. There are 196 caves with 1,300 square meters of preserved wall paintings.
In the afternoon, visitors will explore Fuxi Temple, which was built in the 15th century during the Ming Dynasty. The temple houses a statue of Fuxi, who is regarded as an ancestor by the Chinese people from ancient times.
