Tianjin Port - Mutianyu Great Wall - Hotel in Beijing

Tianjin International Cruise Port - Typically, your cruise will dock at Tianjin port at 7:00 am. If the weather is favorable and clear, it usually takes about 1 hour to clear customs (sometimes longer, depending on the number of passengers on your cruise). Your friendly guide will be holding a sign with your name and will be waiting for you at port exit B at 8:00 am.

Once you are picked up, you will head directly to the renowned Mutianyu Great Wall (less than a 4-hour drive). You can spend approximately 2 hours on the Wall. Besides capturing beautiful photos and enjoying the scenery, it’s fun to take a cable car ride or a chairlift/toboggan ride. You are sure to enjoy it immensely.

For lunch, you have the option to dine either before or after your Great Wall tour. Your meal will be served at a local restaurant.

Afterward, you will be transferred back to your hotel (arranged by you), and your guide will assist you with checking in.

Day 2: Tiananmen Square - Forbidden City - Old Hutongs - Temple of Heaven - Tianjin Port

Your tour guide will arrive at your hotel to pick you up at 8:00 am. You will first visit Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest public square. Explore the sites around the square with opportunities to take some amazing pictures. Then continue your tour to the Forbidden City from Tiananmen Gate.

The Forbidden City is the largest and best-preserved imperial palace in the world, and you will spend a couple of hours exploring this incredible example of Imperial architecture and learning about the history of the palace (2.5 hours).

After visiting the Forbidden City, head to the Old Hutong area (Houhai Lake area). Hutong has a history of over 700 years. You will take a rickshaw to explore this historic part of Beijing. You will also have the chance to visit a local family home and chat with the locals. You will enjoy a rickshaw tour (including part of a walking tour).

After visiting Hutong, take a 30-minute ride to a local Chinese restaurant near the Temple of Heaven for a delightful lunch. Then, spend around 1.5 hours at the Temple of Heaven.

Once the tour is complete, you will be transferred to Tianjin Port or Beijing International Capital Airport.

1: Your guide will finish work after the Temple of Heaven; only the driver will take you back to Tianjin Port.

2: If you wish to skip the Hutongs or the Temple of Heaven, please inform your guide. We need to ensure you arrive at Tianjin port on time.

Beijing - After visiting the Great Wall, your private guide and driver will take you to Beijing for your hotel check-in.

Forbidden City-The Palace Museum - Then continue your tour to the Forbidden City from Tiananmen Gate. The Forbidden City is the largest and best-preserved imperial palace in the world, and you will spend a couple of hours exploring this incredible example of Imperial architecture and learning about the history of the palace.

Temple of Heaven - The final stop is the Temple of Heaven, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site. It is especially enjoyable in the morning as you can see many local retirees doing morning exercises here. You can join in any activities if you like. Meanwhile, you will learn all the detailed stories and histories about this temple from your tour guide.

Tianjin - Once the tour is complete, you will be transferred to Tianjin Port or Beijing International Capital Airport. Please Note: Your guide will finish work after the Temple of Heaven; only the driver will take you back to Tianjin Port.
