Very good food. Beautiful sunset.
My husband and I were on our honeymoon and we had a blast!
We went on the evening of July 12th. Overall it was a good experience, the Captain went out of his way to show us great sights (including dolphins) and the food was quite good. We had a couple concerns with our trip. One my husband found a substantial amount of cash in a dining booth and turned into the engineer. There was an announcement made by the Captain asking anyone who had lost cash to see him. We are curious if anyone claimed the money as we never heard back from the engineer or captain. If no one claimed the cash it would be nice if it was split between the crew and a Beaufort charity. Also, I witness toss his cigarette into the water which I found disturbing as there were signs around the boat asking the passengers not to litter into the water. The ladies who were distributing your brochures on Front St. were very nice and convincing.
We were upstairs and there was live music. It was a jazz musician that was extremely loud. You could not have a conversation at the table. Jazz does not need to be blasted to be heard. Also it was to many tables crowded upstairs. After dinner we moved out on the lower deck just to enjoy the quiet. Other than the loud music it was an enjoyable experience.
Shrimp and chicken were very good, however the salad and dessert were not. Sunset cruise was outstanding and crew were friendly.
Seating was a bit cramped; however, the staff was very nice and I actually did this cruise for my friend's birthday and we had a really nice time.
The overall Cruise experience was very nice. The boat was clean the crew was friendly and the two-hour Cruise was interesting. However I felt that the food was lacking and we felt rushed finishing our dinners. Overall a very nice evening.
Ran out of some food items.
Enjoyed the evening: however, no mention of our anniversary which I included in the comments when purchasing the tickets
The cruise itself was wonderful! The crew were all very friendly and accommodating! I simply felt like the food was not the greatest. However, everything else was very nice
We wanted more narration during the cruise.
The cruise itself was beautiful. However, the food was sub-par at best. I was very disappointed with the food especially considering the cost. The live music should have been set up where everyone dined-not upstairs where no one could hear them. It should have been advertised that we would need to walk around the whole ship and then go upstairs to find the music. We chose Thursday night specifically for the live music for my in-laws to enjoy. They were unable to partake because their mobility is limited and climbing narrow stairs to the top deck was not an option. The crew was great, the view was great and the memories we made were great. But for that money, we expected better food.
Dinner was good and with both beef and chicken the dinner was very filling. Coffee would have been nice with the dessert. Due to music, no narrative about what we were seeing was heard on lower deck.
Great food and entertainment
Per the advertisements in the Crystal Coast Tourist book we were expecting a Low Country Boil Dinner (since it was Thursday night). We were disappointed that it was bar-b-que chicken and pork instead. We would like to suggest that bowls be provided for the salad - plates were overfull with the salad on the same plate as the chicken and other vegetables. And ice with the drinks would have been nice as well. We will not take another dinner cruise - too dark to enjoy the surroundings. Lesson learned for us. Thank you for the information provided.
