The Angler crew continues to be very professional, helpful, and engaging with their customers, as they have always been in the past. The trip schedules are punctual and afford everyone the maximum amount of fishing time possible. If cancellations occur due to weather, or other unforeseen circumstances, rain checks and/or refunds are offered to customers. On a personal note, we always receive a timely response beforehand whenever there is the possibility of a cancelled trip event so we can plan accordingly. Even when fishing conditions are not ideal, the crew always endeavors to make the experience as positive and fun as possible for all aboard. Although the cooler sometimes comes home empty, we always return with good memories of a pleasant day at sea, thanks to the expertise and enthusiasm of the Angler crew. We will continue to book excursions with the Angler and highly recommend their deep sea fishing experience for both novice, as well as skilled, fishing enthusiasts of all ages. New people to fishing the ocean caused some tangled up lines which leads to less fishing time but overall satisfied with the trip.
Hi -- We had a great time fishing with Angler. Several of us were beginners, and the crew were patient and attentive in helping us get our gear ready. They were also great about moving the boat to maximize fishing opportunities. It would also help to explain ahead of time to newbies like us that you need to stake out a place to fish right at the beginning. We were a group of about 8 and because we didn't know this ahead of time, we were separated from each other for most of the trip. With some advance warning we would have made sure to find places we could all fish together. Also, any chance to make a no smoking rule on board? Lastly, we purchased the lunches and found them to be sub-par, especially considering the $10 price tag. I'd recommend significantly upgrading the quality of the meals or cutting the price substantially.
Awesome crew, awesome boat! Put us on the fish.
Crew and captain are always helpful and concerned about the passengers .
Left on time and mate was great.
Fishing with the Angler is always a great experience. Captain Chris and his crew are awesome. Fishing with other Angler’s are also good. Everyone is friendly. Will continue to fish with the Angler for my sea bass. Great crew .
Nicely run operation, friendly mates, nice overall boat.
Great experience, captain wasn't satisfied until we were all catching fish and trying to maximize our time out in the water. Mates were awesome helping whenever and whatever needed
Great crew, great fishing, great trip.
The group went above and beyond even with the wind and weather we were having. The group also helped me out and was super great when I got seasick, and was really great when we needed help untangling/getting our fish off the hooks.
Too many smokers right next to my kids.
Friendly staff. Good fishing
Left the dock on time. Captain made announcement before leaving that seas will be rough today and if anyone is susceptible to motion sickness, they should depart the boat now and they'll get a full refund which I thought was good. We went out to three distinct spots, with minor adjustments at each. Took about 2.5 hours to get to the first spot(Lots of headwinds and white caps). The last spot that we went to before we came in had the best fishing I thought. Everyone on the boat seem to be catching. We caught eight keeper black sea bass overall. Several throwbacks (probably over 15, but loss count). Some on both hooks. My two teenage boys, my wife and I all had fun. Two of the four rods were extraordinarily short. I took one, my wife the other so that boys had no excuses :). Seems the small rods made it more difficult to sense the line and distinguish the bottom from nibbles . Fish cleaning was very reasonable at only a dollar a fish. The first mate was very helpful. Although I wish the rods and reels were a little more up-to-date. We had one tangle that had two fish on...one a keeper. He got it addressed quickly for us and got us back to fishing quickly. We all had a great time. The Seas were rough. But the captain did a good job navigating the waves. We came back to the dock about 30 minutes later than planned. But that was because we were having some good fishing. Thank you for the fun and hope to do it again sooner than later.
Everyone on the boat caught fish not everybody caught Keepers but everybody got to catch fish. The crew was very helpful and everything that we did help in the ones that didn't know how to use the rod and reels and helping it take finish off the hooks when they couldn't do it overall it was a great experience. I would do it again if I ever made it out there again.
The captain and mate were friendly and accommodating. They assisted when needed for tangles and bait replenishing.
Great trip with The Angler! Sadly did not catch as many fish but would definitely go out with them again!
excellent Capts. and first mates. locating the fish and helping out when your having trouble with your pole and helpful hints.
Thanks for a great trip. Chuck and I ended up with 18 bass, 3 flounder and the "tuna". Dean and Rich were great as usual. Had a reservation on another boat the next day and caught half the fish on a longer trip. I know each day fishing is different but we are both sure our next trips will be with you guys. Chuck says there is no reason to go with any one else. Thanks again Chris for a great fishing day. Charlie and Chuck
This was our 3rd trip on the bought. Everyone is extremely nice and even with bad conditions the fishing was great! Can't wait to do it again!
