Our guide/driver, “Mr. History,” was a wealth of knowledge, engaging all on board with enthusiasm and humor. He even quizzed us at the end of the tour. Just a fun, great time! The monuments at night were so moving. Be prepared to walk, though.
I enjoyed having a guide with knowledge of the sites we visited.
Just an all-around good day, small bus makes ALL the difference in the world. Excellent guide, well-spoken and informed and herded us like cats in the most general of ways
The evening turned out to be one of the best stops during a week in DC for our group of seven. The service was great, the food exceeded our expectations and the band orovided a good cross-section of musical selections at just the right volume. Thanks Odessey for a memorable night.
We were on the 3-hour tour and got to see quite a lot in that time. The bus was comfortable, and the driver was friendly. The only downside was that the tour guide, who was generally good, kept sermonizing about freedom instead of just talking about the sights. I agree that freedom is the bedrock of our country, and I wouldn't mind the occasional reference -- but she went on about it at almost every stop in a way that was more patronizing than informative. Her tone was also patronizing when she asked passengers to stop talking; rather than just remind people gently not to talk, she gave a little lecture about "respecting other passengers," as though we were all 5-year-olds. Other than that, she was good -- she knew a lot, and got us through many sights in a short amount of time while keeping everything organized. We enjoyed our tour and would recommend it to others.
Larry was a great guide. This was my 4th tour of DC with On Board tours and enjoyed each one. Larry pointed out all the important facts, interacted well with our small group and kept us moving. When returning to DC, I will once again tour with On Board tours.
Its all about the guide Josh. Very entertaining and informative.. He made sure that all questions were answered. and mad a special effort for me to get a tracing of a good friend from the Vietnam memorial. Had all kinds of side information on sites that made the tour extra special. We were a party of 8 and everyone is still talking about it.
Good in many respects. Mechanical problems with bus. Time not used as effectively as it could have been.
The tour guide was very knowledgeable. Cold water was available. Rules were clear. We paid $5 each extra to pay contact from inside but there was no such person - especially with the White House lock down. Tour guide was late that cut short of itinerary like no visit to MLK Memorial. We asked to be dropped off at JFK Center for Performing Arts instead of White House Gifts and was approved. 2 elevators in the route were not working. I tried hard to keep up. Not your fault. Could be my shoe or my age. hehehe Our schedule was to finish at 1:30 pm which was done. Amazing.
Tour guide very informative and Eddie the driver courteous. Comfortable seating in bus
Great guide , great tour , very informative.
Very educationally packed adventure. We took the 3.5 hour tour and were very satisfied. Bus driver and tour guide were awesome.
The tour started on time with a smiling and friendly guide who was knowledgeable about all the sights we visited. It was very nice that cold water was provided. Our driver was also great.
