• Duy Xuyen District - From Hoi An, we’ll take a one-hour drive along peaceful country roads through rural villages, making several stops to visit fishing communities, rice paddies, vegetable farms, and cattle herds, and to greet local farmers.
• My Son Sanctuary - After an hour’s drive through countryside villages on vespas, we’ll arrive at My Son sanctuary and spend about 90 minutes exploring at a leisurely pace. The Hindu temples, built between the 4th and 13th centuries, were designated a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1999. As you walk with our local tour guide, you’ll learn about the history of the ancient Champa Kingdom and Khmer Empire. The guide’s commentary will provide fascinating insights into the Hindu temples, including how the Champa people crafted the bricks from clay to construct these unique structures that have stood for a millennium. You’ll also discover why the temples were abandoned and how they were rediscovered. The guide will explain the impact of the Vietnam War, showing you bomb shells and craters. Many temples and sculptures survived the bombings, and you’ll learn about the Hindu gods and deities.
• Duy Xuyen District - After visiting My Son sanctuary, we’ll drive for an hour through the countryside villages and return to your hotel in Hoi An.
