- Mama Thira Tavern - Named for its position crowning (stefanono) Fira, the journey to Firostefani from Fira follows the “eyebrow” of the Caldera, covering a 10-minute walk. The view is unparalleled, with the steep cliff often quickening the heartbeat.
- Oia’s Main Street - Located about 30 minutes by road from Firostefani, this enchanting area is truly captivating. The main road divides it into two sections: one towards the Caldera, featuring impressive underground structures, and the other adorned with captain-houses (capetanospita). On the settlement’s side lies the castle, with its remnants offering unique views of the endless blue sea and the renowned sunset.

The adventure starts at Fira, or we can collect you from your hotel or cruise vessel, and we set off to explore the hidden treasures of the Caldera and capture photos. We then move on to the picturesque village of Firostefani where we take in the view of the Caldera and gaze at Thirassia, an enchanting island and remnants of ancient Santorini, the Volcano, the UNESCO-protected Skaros mountain, and the numerous churches boasting blue roofs. The trip progresses to Imerovigli, where we can view and photograph the caves that once housed Santorini’s early inhabitants. Afterwards, we make our way to the border of Imerovigli to see the highly regarded Skaros, a UNESCO-protected peak that seemingly hovers in mid-air, and record the scenery. En route to Oia, we can observe red, black, and yellow volcanic lava on the mini bus’s left side.
