Lovely tour guide with excellent English - gave us an information packed and humorous account of Greek family life 🥰 - There was a traditional festival the evening before our visit and whilst enjoying cheese and wine we were also entertained by traditional Greek musicians - including goatskin bagpipes - a very rare treat indeed !
The tour itself was enjoyable and we did learn about the realities of Greek family life and cheese making.
The re-constructed house and production area was cozy. The cheese, honeys and wine was also a treat - seated around a huge stone table. I recommend the trip, the tour guide and the delicious cheese - and the Rose petal Raki !!!

A Wonderful Wine & Cheese experience - A Wonderful Wine & Cheese Experience at Diasenli!
We had such a fantastic time at Diasenli during our visit to Ios. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and made to feel completely at home. The setting is beautiful, the atmosphere relaxed, and the whole experience was both fun and informative.
The wines were absolutely delicious and perfectly paired with a variety of local cheeses and other small bites. You can really feel the passion and care that goes into everything they do. It was a highlight of our trip and something we’ll definitely remember.
Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ios – it’s a fab way to spend an afternoon or evening.

A must do! - We had a great time at the cheese tour. The lady who runs the tour was lovely and provided a really good afternoon talking about her family history and the history of the Island. The family cheese and their own wine was excellent. We highly recommend it.

Amazing guide and interesting tour - We arrived without having made a booking and were warmly welcomed by Ellen who was a fantastic guide. It was so interesting to learn about the lives of islanders and how they have changed in such a short period since tourism started. We chose to do the tour and talk without the tasting (which looked amazing). Ellen was very knowledgeable and explained everything so well. I highly recommend this experience!

Fantastic experience!! - So, I booked this experience through Trip Advisor & was very excited about it! The drive to the cheesery from the port in Ios was about 20-30 minutes. We rented a car, but there was a couple that drove an ATV up there too. That said, I don't think a cab to it would be cost effective. Once we were there, the setting was absolutely beautiful! Walking in, they made us feel right at home. We were about 20 min early, but they took us in right away. Just as a heads up, English is another language option, even if it was not included on the website to book. Helen was amazing!! She was incredibly patient, very knowledgeable, and just a delight. The tour was relatively quick, but gives you good history and a background of the area. Now, we went into the tasting. OMG, their cheese was unbelievably delicious! They gave about 8 different cheeses, along with corresponding jam/honey to taste it with. It was all delicious. I'd say come hungry, because it was like a large charcuterie board shares between two people. The wine was absolutely fine as well. The surprise was the rose raki as a digestif after we finished. So good! I would absolutely recommend this as an excursion if you are in Ios!!!

mediocre - the tour started off with a visit to the "museum". the "guide" mentioned how poor the people were on the island so many times, that it caused the impression that pity or tips were sought after. but how could a poor family afford to pay the electricity company to provide their establishment with energy? our group was told that not everyone like "us" had "privileges". quite a sob story. the cheeses were great, no problem at all, the wine was OK although not regional. upon our visit to the chicken hen the herdsman told the "guide" what he grew there, and cracked a "joke" about having planted marijuana. there were humans under the age of 18 in our group.
