Great historical trip - We enjoyed this trip. The hike was a little difficult for one of our group, but it was beautiful on the mountain. Dion was very interesting. Yannis was a great guide, very knowledgeable.

Worthwhile day trip to Mount Olympos - Eva was a great guide on this well-organised and informative trip to Mount Olympos and Dion from Thessaloniki. The tour combined history, geography and mythology and left time to explore individually. We have now booked for the Ammon tour to Pella and Vergina while we’re staying in Thessaloniki.

Dion and Mt Olympus - totally worth seeing - An nice daytrip with a lovely guide. Dion was especially interesting and Mt Olympus is magnificent - lots of gods in its slobes...;-). The guide might though have been more informative and sometimes I was struggling understanding her english.

Enjoyable beautiful day trip - This trip is great there are some areas of rough ground which require good footwear. Also so steep downhill walking with semi formed steps which will require balance and the ability to slide on your bum and get back up again. Enjoyable though just make sure you have sprayed to avoid bites!!

Great day - The tour was really good but some suggested changes (which I admit may not be practical): - If the stop at the waterfall could be towards the end of the trip it’s likely more people would swim since the day would be warmer (and so would we!) - The second part of the hike was indeed challenging (and I am in pretty good hiking shape). For folks uncertain on their feet or with balance issues, it was not pleasant. Perhaps make it more clear in the description. - we could have used more time at Dion and the Information Center With all that said, it was a wonderful day and Eva did a great job. I would definitely recommend, but would warn about the hike.

Thessaloniki - Nice town. Very hot, it reached 42 degrees! Lots of nice places. I really liked the local cuisine, great variety: vegetables, meat, fish.... People out late.

Terrible experience in business class - We bought two round trip business class tickets on Amtrak, from Williamsburg, VA to Metro Park, NJ. Dec 21 & Dec 26,. The trip to NJ in a sold out train was very pleasant. Since we were in business class, there was quiet the entire time. Unfortunately, on the trip home, we sat in front of a grandmother and her 6 or 7 yr old grandson who was hyperactive. He kicked the seat, talked loudly, and made nonsense noises the entire trip. Grandmother was unable to control him and I felt sorry for her; however, the child made our trip almost intolerable. The conductor would not say anything to her or the child because he said technically business class is not a "quiet" car. I have traveled Amtrak trains for many years almost always paying extra for business class because of the quiet it affords. My husband and I are very dissatisfied customers today. The child made almost constant noises for over 7 hours. I had to turn around to ask him to stop kicking my seat and he laughed. His grandmother was mortified and I could see she was struggling to keep him quiet, unsuccessfully. The conductor should have spoken to the child. Conductors should be trained in dealing with this sort of behavior. My husband and I will not spend the extra money to purchase business class again. In fact, we will seriously consider whether or not it is a good choice to travel by train in the future.
