Jimmy—your guide, driver, chef, and friend—will introduce local specialties and offer expert advice on selecting, preparing, and cooking them. He’ll also gather the freshest seafood for The Long Lunch.
- Hawkesbury River - Break up the two-hour drive with a stop at the scenic Hawkesbury River, famous for Sydney Rock, Pacific, and Akoya oysters, as well as the legendary Hawkesbury River prawn.
Jimmy will prepare a hearty breakfast to ensure you’re ready for the wine adventures ahead.
- Hunter Valley - Watch for wildlife, especially Eastern Grey Kangaroos, as you enter wine country. Jimmy will share insights into the climate, the crops, and the activities in the surrounding vineyards. It’s truly breathtaking.
Visit 3 boutique wineries, sampling outstanding wines. As you transition from the 2nd to the 3rd winery, Jimmy will open his mobile kitchen to prepare dishes that complement each wine during the long lunch.
The menu features uniquely Australian ingredients, with dishes like barramundi paired with Semillon, and kangaroo with Shiraz. Conclude with a decadent dessert and sweet dessert wine to complete the experience.
Proceed to a selected winery with panoramic views of the Great Dividing Range. Enjoy local wines and expertly paired dishes prepared by your guide and chef.
