Our guide, Maggie, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable, personable, and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Maggie seemed to know everything there was to know about Charleston and she was happy to share it with us. She was also happy to answer any and all questions put to her. Her love for her hometown really came through. We came out of the tour feeling that we knew a lot more about Charleston, its' people and its' history. We would definitely recommend her and the tour to anyone looking for a walking tour experience. The recommendation to bring an umbrella was most appreciated. We had a torrential downpour toward the end of the tour. There were only nine people on our tour. I don't know if it was planned that way or not, but it certainly made for a very enjoyable time. It was a much more personal experience than if there had been a large number of people. Thank you for a wonderful tour.

The experience was amazing! Martha is so engaging and it’s so evident that she loves what she does. Thank you for making my first trip to Charleston sonenjoyable. The lemonade at the end was such a beautiful touch of southern hospitality. Truly a surprise and delight. I’ve since googled more about the cities history. Cannot wait for another visit. Thank you again Georgia

I was expecting a tour with one of the Middleton sisters. I am familiar with the family's history, and that is specifically why I chose this tour over the competition. Our guide was competent. She said she started earlier in the spring but had to refer to her notes. I, too, have done tours, and at no time did I require notes. If you're not able to give a tour note-free, you shouldn't be doing it for paying guests. I feel that the brochure and website provide false advertising. I will not be recommending this tour.

Our guide was informative and fun as she gave us a local’s view of her city.

Martha was knowledge, straightforward and an effective communicator. We’re cut-to-the-chase people (my engineer/MD husband, especially) and have little patience with cutesy/gimmicky tours. We’ll certainly recommended this tour.
