Setting Sail on a New Adventure

As someone who has spent countless hours on the open road, the idea of setting sail on a luxury catamaran in Thailand was both thrilling and a bit daunting. My husband and I have always been drawn to the freedom of the road, but the allure of the sea called to us this time. We found ourselves in Phuket, ready to embark on the Phang Nga Bay Cruise. The promise of a spacious, peaceful journey through the stunning Phang Nga Bay was too tempting to resist.

The morning began with a gentle hotel pickup, reminiscent of the early starts on our road trips across the Midwest. The day continued with a delightful buffet lunch on board, where we savored chili skewers and homemade papaya salad. The flavors were as vibrant as the landscapes we were sailing through. Later, we enjoyed snorkeling near Maiton Island, the underwater world a kaleidoscope of colors and life.

As the sun began to set, we cruised back towards the pier, the sky painted in hues of orange and pink. It was a scene that reminded me of the sunsets we’ve chased across the country, each one a reminder of the beauty that surrounds us.
