Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand (WFFT) - Meet your driver at your hotel lobby at 09.00-09.15 AM. The transfer will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive, meet and greet with your guide for the day. Your guide will give you an informed guided tour around all areas of the center. You’ll see some of the rescued animals, hear their stories and learn why they are living at the center.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided for you. Enjoy a traditional Thai buffet looking over our large multi species enclosure with elephants, gibbons, and other animals. We will serve both vegan, vegetarian, and meat options at lunch.
After lunch, meet and feed one of the elephants. See how the volunteers at the elephant refuge go about their daily tasks. Learn about the elephant’s individual stories and about their personalities. Learn about the conservation issues that elephants face, and how they are exploited by tourist attractions, forced to carry lots of people and perform tricks – you will see none of this at the elephant refuge, where the elephant’s natural behaviour is of paramount importance.
Drive around the whole site and get to see the bears and monkeys enjoying their meal before the tour ends at approximately 3.30 PM.

Amazing day out - Absolutely brilliant day out. Grandparents and 2 young children. The tour started with an educational talk and videos. The children loved discovering some animals they have never heard of before and the 8 year old repeated all of the names and sad stories of the rescues to friends and family after his visit. A great way to educate the kids.

Walk the beach and relax - The best walking beach in Thailand, long flat and hard - easy walking. Plenty of little bars/shops along the way if a stop is required. HH is much quieter than other resort towns, much better for families especially those with little children. It is a bit of a Golfing mecca but there are many more attractions a short drive from town. A huge range of hotels from 5 star to Backpacker. We stayed, this time, at the Wora Bura Resort/spa. More than adequate, excellent pool right on the beach. Breakfast choices very extensive. Built along old colonial lines, great staff.

Informative and animal friendly encounter - Booked a full day tour. Shame on me I forgot the name of the super nice and professional tour guide from Florida, who had just been working there for three months but seemed like she spent years with this organization.
WFFT really cares about the wellbeing of animals. In general there is a lot of space for the animals and if there are some, that live in smaller cages there is a unique reason for that, which gets explained comprehensively.
They inform about other animal Encounter Options in Thailand, such as Elephant Trekking, which really opens the eyes, informing what process the elephants go through before. Very important to know.
It was possible for the group to feed two of the elephants that are (half) blind and need to be handfed. Other than that we could see many types of monkeys, apes, bears, iguanas, birds, slow loris, tigers, leopards, and some more.
In this tour you can just feel the passion and effort the organization puts into their work and I am glad there is a place like this.
Would really recommend to take this tour if you want an honest and animal friendly encounter. Thank you so much for the lovely tour!

Definitely a must to visit in Hua Hin - We had a great day exploring the wonderful work this centre does to rehabilitate animals and from pick up to drop off, the whole family love it! It was definitely worth the $$s. Natalie the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful as was Will. Highlight was feeding the elephants. 10/10 for a fab filled day! Fully recommend.

Wonderful Day - Totally marvellous day could not fault it.
Our guide Edda was so knowledgeable and passionate and the tales she told us were both heartbreaking and heartwarming.
We saw an amazing array of the rescue animals and were privileged to meet the founder of the rescue centre supervising the new arrivals of rescue tigers.
Lunch was excellent and it was lovely to feed the elephants.
Worth every Penny and much more

Animal protection top! - The tour was really great! The guide was very well informed and had answers to all questions. It's great that the animals get what they need. Even if a herd animal is not able to live in a herd due to its history, everything is done to make the animal feel as comfortable as possible.
The enclosures are great.
However, they should expand the merch and offer it again before you are taken back to the hotel. I think that many people would then take advantage of it to support the foundation.
The overnight accommodation options also looked appealing. A really good idea to raise money for the foundation.

Must do day trip - Amazing tour around an incredible foundation, doing great work to help the animals. Great way to see and learn about the animals. Lovely and very knowledgeable tour guide Edda. Fanatic Thai buffet supplied for lunch. A very worth while trip and well worth the money, added bonus that the money goes to a great cause.

Awesome day trip in Hua Hin - not-to-be-missed - I took this day trip with friends from Denmark. It was an extraordinary and enjoyable day matched well with the learning and appreciation for all nature has to offer. A remarkable experience for adult and young folks alike. The stories were amazing - some extremely sad & troubling, regarding animal use and abuse. This foundation - the setting - the staff & volunteers will enhance your how you view animals in captivity and value those in the wild.
