- Cunningham Cabin - Cunningham Cabin is one of the “Famous Four” locations at Grand Teton. Take a short walk through history as you explore one of the area’s first homesteads.
- Schwabacher Landing - Once a popular boat launch, Schwabacher Landing now offers breathtaking views of the Teton Range and the surrounding forest reflected in the Snake River. It’s also an excellent spot for wildlife viewing!
- Snake River Overlook - Made famous by nature photographer Ansel Adams, this iconic viewpoint offers a view of the gentle bends of the Snake River against the Teton Range. Despite its serene appearance, early fur trappers in the Tetons nicknamed the Snake River “The Accursed Mad River” due to its wild unpredictability.
- Mormon Row - Mormon Row was one of the first communities within Grand Teton National Park. In the early 1920s, it was a thriving, self-sufficient town. Today, memories and buildings like the Moulton Barns and the Chambers Homestead remain. These are now on the National Registry of Historic Places, and visitors can walk among them. The Moulton Barn is the most photographed barn in the United States, so be sure to capture your own photo!
- Craig Thomas Discovery & Visitor Center in Moose - The Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center provides trail information, weather updates, and general information.
- Murie Ranch Historic District - Visit the historic home of the Muries, known as the Grandparents of the Conservation Movement. The John Denver song “A Song For All Lovers” is based on this famous couple!
- Chapel Of The Transfiguration - Find peace in this beautiful little chapel nestled in the shadows of the Teton range. Built in 1925, it remains an active Episcopal congregation today!
- Menors Ferry Historic District - Explore the historic buildings once owned and built by William Menor. In the 1920s, Menor was the first homesteader to build on the West bank of the Snake River, and his ferry opened a new trade route to the Teton range!
- Taggart Lake Trailhead - Taggart Lake Trail is a 3.8-mile loop just north of Moose Junction. It’s a moderately easy hike through sagebrush flats to the base of the Teton Mountain Range.
- Cottonwood Creek Picnic Area - While Cottonwood Creek Picnic Area is a pleasant place to rest, the real stars here are the wild burros in the field across the street. Remember safety tips and keep a safe distance, and the burros will let you take selfies with them!
- Jenny Lake - Offering hiking, biking, cycling, and more, the Jenny Lake Recreation Area has it all. Swim in the lake, hike the amazing trails, take a scenic drive through the forest, and learn the tragically beautiful history of this sacred place.
- Signal Mountain - This seven-mile drive climbs nearly 1,000 feet above sea level. At the top, enjoy sweeping vistas of the entire Teton valley. Although the drive can be a bit daunting with its narrow road, sharp switchbacks, and steep sides, the view at the top is absolutely worth it!
