Tabarka / Ain Draham / Beni Mtir / Beja
Tabarka - At the extreme northwestern tip of Tunisia, near the Algerian border, the Aiguilles de Tabarka are a notable tourist attraction in the region’s landscape. Geomorphologically, these “needles” are prominent vertical formations created by a series of massive coarse sandstone bars, each about ten meters high, separated by softer clay valleys. These sandstone formations, sculpted into steep cliffs, can reach altitudes of 25 meters. Subjected to the combined effects of rain and wind, they form real arched structures under which visitors can walk along the winding coastal path.
Beni M Tir - Beni Mtir, also known as Beni Metir, is a village in northwestern Tunisia located in the mountainous Kroumirie region, a few kilometers from Aïn Draham. It is part of the Berber tribes’ confederation of Kroumirs and is situated 650 meters above sea level, within the Jendouba governorate.
