Kayak The Arajuno River

Napo Province - Start the day with the melodious songs of birds and a delightful breakfast before traveling an hour by car to the Arajuno River. This class I river is calm and ideal for leisurely kayaking, with its shallow waters and minimal rapids.

Rio Arajuno - As you paddle along the river, keep an eye out for river otters and vibrant birds. A stop along the riverbank allows for a visit to a local indigenous community, where you can learn about their culture and savor local cuisine. Continue paddling down the river until reaching a bridge where the driver will be waiting to take you back to the lodge.

Llanganates - Today, venture deeper into the jungle! Begin the day with a visit to a local swimming hole featuring natural lagoons perfect for swimming and cliff jumping. After a fun start, proceed to the homestay where a Kichwa family will serve a delicious lunch, followed by an afternoon of canyoning. Navigate river rocks, ascend waterfalls, and traverse the enchanting forest, rejuvenating your spirit on this thrilling adventure. Conclude the day with a delightful chocolate fondue made from local cacao as part of a traditional dinner, offering a genuine cultural immersion.

Rafting And Hot Springs

Jatunyacu River - Day four promises excitement as you paddle down the Jatunyacu River, a class III river originating from the Llanganates Mountains. Legend speaks of a hidden Incan treasure in this area, yet it remains undiscovered despite many explorers’ efforts. Enjoy a delicious picnic on the riverbank before driving two hours to the hot springs, where you can relax in volcanic pools and recover from the past days’ activities. Return to Quito in the late afternoon.
