We were picked up in a mini bus even though there were only the two of us, great information provided by our driver Ahmed, always pointing out interesting things along the way, once we arrived, Ahmed arranged a guide for us, who was so knowledgeable, it was an incredibly hot day, but an experience we both enjoyed.

We gained lots of knowledge and history of the Berber way—of-life in the Atlas Mountains. He introduced us to some lovely people at the Ben Haddou Kasbah and kept us entertained throughout the long day. We felt safe and welcomed wherever we went.

We had a great time, and Lahcen accompanied us throughout the day, filling the journey with historical anecdotes about the region. He was lovely to us. The visit to the casbah was also very interesting, it is something to do, I recommend.
