Ujarma Fortress - Explore the ruins of Ujarma Fortress, which provides breathtaking views of the river and forests. Originally constructed by the Georgian-Iberian King Aspagur in the 3rd-4th centuries, it was expanded during King Vakhtang Gorgasali’s reign to serve as a royal residence.

The fortress faced destruction in the 10th century by the Arabian conqueror Abul Kassim but was restored in the 12th century by King George III, who used it as a treasury.

Shuamta Monasteries - Visit the two monasteries in the village of Shuamta, each once a significant religious center in Christian Georgia. Dzveli Shuamta (Old Shuamta) and Akhali Shuamta (New Shuamta) were built in different eras and showcase distinct architectural styles.

Dzveli Shuamta, or Old Shuamta, comprises several temples constructed in the 5th – 7th centuries. The earliest of these is a small church in the foreground.

Telavi - In the afternoon, stroll through the streets of Telavi, the largest city in the Kakheti region. Following the walk, enjoy a traditional Georgian lunch accompanied by wine.

Gremi Citadel and Church of the Archangels - Gremi, the former capital of the Kingdom of Kakheti in the 16th and 17th centuries, is home to a 16th-century architectural marvel – the royal citadel and the Church of the Archangels – located in Kakheti, Georgia.

Ilia Lake - Ilia Lake is a must-see attraction in Kvareli. Surrounded by rivers and forests, it boasts unique natural beauty and refreshing air. The lake is named after Ilia Chavchavadze, a nobleman regarded as one of the greatest thinkers in the country’s history.

Tunnel Winery Khareba’s - Begin the next day with a visit to Khareba Winery, the largest in Georgia, and sample a variety of wines.

Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino - Located 2 km from Sighnaghi, Bodbe Monastery offers spectacular views of the Alazani Valley, perfect for enjoying and photographing.

Sighnaghi - Sighnaghi is nestled in the heart of Georgia’s wine-growing regions, known for its charming landscapes, pastel houses, and narrow cobblestone streets. Perched on a steep hill, Sighnaghi overlooks the expansive Alazani Valley, with the Caucasus Mountains visible in the distance.
