  Depart from Merida at 8 a.m. and enjoy a scenic drive of about an hour to Tekit. Upon arrival, visit a local bakery to prepare and savor traditional bread baked in a stone oven. Next, stroll to a Mayan household where Ana and Manuel will introduce you to Mayan agroecological systems. Discover Melipona bees, sample various honey types, and conclude your visit to Ana’s home with a delicious Yucatecan meal.
  After lunch, tour a guayaberas factory to learn about the production process, and browse local shops where you can purchase traditional clothing and high-quality garments directly from the makers.
