A great way to see Milford Sound - This was a fantastic experience. The shorter drive from Te Anau was nice, and we were done with our boat trip before people from Queenstown showed up. Lots of stops for gorgeous pictures. Small group makes a difference, especially on the boat.

A very enjoyable and well organised day trip. - It was an amazing experience. Steve was a wealth of information about the area and also broader topics of relevance. Everything went smoothly and the small hiccups were dealt with in good humour and promptly by Steve. We were lucky with the weather for most of the day. It did become overcast and rainy as we were leaving Milford Sound but there were still some points of interest we were shown that were worthwhile. The cruise with Mitre was really great and not too crowded. We loved the waterfalls and the dolphins were an added bonus. The picnic lunch was generous and a nice variety of savoury and sweet. Overall a really well organised trip with an excellent guide.

A big day in Milford Sound - Jeremy was a wonderful guide and we saw some spectacular country and learnt a lot about this unique part of New Zealand along the way. The boat at Milford was small and with the other passengers was a bit crowded. Overall though great trip.

Spot the waterfall! - The scenery was fantastic, as expected. The weather was calm and sunny, despite a frosty start, not as forecast. The road was well maintained, they have the budget to keep up what is primarily a tourist magnet. The driver was very clear and informative, with an interesting depth knowledge of the area, we felt like old friends by the end. (The purpose designed van was a little tired, I thought it needed replacement rear shocks, but that is easily fixed.) Overall a trip, and a driver/guide to be recommended!

Skip the lunch - Cruise and lunch with solo company from UK. Was originally told it was a buffet lunch but was seated in front of a massive plastic box. It contained a bread roll with cheese and some sort of manufactured meat and absolutely smothered with a very strong smelling sweet chuntney, something I cannot eat. A sort of savory cake/flan I had no idea what it was but it was inedible. Something that resembled crisps but were rock solid, not wanting to damage teeth I avoided them. An apple and a cake with some sort of topping, I believe it was carrot cake. I did tell our group manager I couldnt eat anything apart from the apple. I was then given what I thought was a cheese, tomato and lettuce bagel - it was babybel tasteless cheese, 2 thin slices of tomato and it was smothered in pesto! Cant eat pesto due to reflux same as chutney! I ended up hungry, I was really looking forward to this excursion but it was underwhelming. The other 'guests' were shouting over the commentary so couldnt hear what was said. The shoveing and pushing from disorganised groups was off putting. I would warn people if they said they were going on this trip. Maybe tell people what is in the lunch box or at least have any 'sauces or chutneys' seperate so you can decide whether to add them or not. Shame it was spoilt
