A luxe trip to Milford - We had an absolutely brilliant day with Luxe Tours, travelling from Queenstown to Milford Sound. Our tour guide, Adrian, was outstanding from the moment we met him until we shook his hand to say goodbye. For such a young man, his knowledge was impressive, and his desire to ensure we had the best possible experience was evident throughout the day.
The vehicle was very comfortable and spacious, and we made plenty of stops along the way to break up the long trip. Being in a 13-seater Mercedes van allowed us to avoid the large bus groups at certain stops. At one location, we saw over 500 people from the larger buses, so we moved a few hundred meters down the road to enjoy some peace and quiet, giving us the opportunity to appreciate the tranquillity of the surroundings.
When we arrived at the ship, we felt refreshed and ready for our two-hour cruise, and Milford Sound did not disappoint. What an incredible experience! The beauty of the area is astounding, with waterfalls almost everywhere, many of them flowing strongly due to recent rains. We were fortunate to have sensational weather, with only the waterfall mist hitting our faces. We couldn't have asked for a better day.
One valuable tip that Adrian shared with us was to use the restrooms on the boats before disembarking, as the queues can be long when you return to land. The journey back was quicker, but we still had time to stop and take in the stunning scenery along the road. The photos we took don’t fully capture the beauty of the trip, but it was worth every cent spent. The total trip lasted from 7:00 am to 7:45 pm. Sure, we returned feeling tired and ready to relax in a hot tub, but our minds were racing with the incredible memories of Milford Sound and the entire day.
The road to Milford Sound is winding, long, and occasionally wet, but we felt safe the entire way with Adrian at the wheel. He even explained the vehicle's safety features and what to expect in various conditions, such as the braking system for strong winds, which reassured us all. Thank you, Adrian, for your outstanding work. We were fortunate to have you with us, and we wish you and everyone at Luxe Tours great success. We highly recommend Luxe Tours.
Luxe Tours provided fantastic service from the booking process to our drop-off at the hotel. I can't fault them at all, and you would be hard-pressed to find any issues. Once again, Adrian was an amazing young man, full of enthusiasm and dedicated to ensuring we enjoyed every moment. He succeeded in his efforts, and we couldn't be happier.

Trip to Milford Sound - From pick up to drop off Adrian our driver for the day was nothing but a credit to Luxe Tours.
Adrian gave an informative guide on our travels to and from Milford Sound.
The 13 seater coach was so comfortable and allowed you to stretch out especially on the way back to Queenstown.
Of course Milford Sound delivered the spectacular sights! We were on Milford Haven and she was clean and we had our own specified seating area which was great not having to fight the other passengers for a seat.
I recommend Luxe Tours for the small group, comfortable bus, the sights along the way and of course Adrian!

Fantastic Tour Company. 10/10 - Tommy with his wealth of knowledge and excellent driving made the road trip to Milford Sound an enjoyable experience. What a lovely guy, also offering to take photos of us at each magnificent pit stop along the way. Highly recommend Luxe Tours. The vehicle is clean and comfortable with plenty of leg room, huge windows to take in the views and a few little extra touches to personalise the experience. We had an excellent experience with this company. Milford Sound itself was just incredible.

Relaxing, Informative, special treatment, Amazing Tour. Very Grateful. 150% recommended. - We 150% enjoyed our day with Tommy at the Luxe Tours Team. Small group is very worth the experience. I would recommend to anyone I knew Travelling to the area. Also Tommys recommendations of where else to go, what to do and where to eat was very helpful to our short stay. Gez he even takes photos for you so you get the best pictures of a beautiful place and you in them. Give these guys a go, their service is very welcomed and they deserve to expand their tours if they can.

Highlight of New Zealand Trip - This is a must do when you visit Queenstown. It was the highlight of our holiday to New Zealand. We had such a wonderful time using Luxe Tours and it was such a comfortable, small group experience. Tommy, our guide/driver, was so informative, funny and just a genuine nice guy. He offered to take photos of people at the stops, made sure everyone was comfortable, gave us lots of information about Milford Sound and gave us other advice for our time in Queenstown. There were lots of stops on the way to Milford Sound, and the scenery along the drive was amazing. The 2 hour boat cruise around Milford Sound was fantastic, and Luxe Tours have a nice reserved area on board the boat for us to get our food at the start of the cruise. The communication before the tour was excellent as well and there were lots of nice personal touches.

excellent trip with Lux Tours - Excellent trip. It’s a long day from Queenstown but Tommy our driver/guide was superb. He made a long day short, with knowledgable information on the area and the history. The new Mercedes sprinter van was very comfy , clean and plenty stops so you’re not sitting too long. By far the best option if you’re going from Queenstown to Milford Sound. Just a terrific memorable day don’t miss day out

The best tour in New Zealand - From the outset, communication was exemplary – clear, prompt, and informative. This small group tour was conducted in a comfortable, brand-new van with larger seats, which greatly enhanced the travel experience. We were give information about the itinerary and even provided with a bottle of water, freshly baked muffin demonstrating the attention to detail and care given to guests.
Our guide, Adrian, was exceptionally kind and accommodating. With only three participants on the tour, we had the entire van to ourselves, making the experience even more special. Throughout the journey, we stopped at several breathtaking locations, allowing us to immerse ourselves in the stunning natural beauty that New Zealand offers. Words hardly do justice to the scenery we encountered.
The Milford Sound cruise was a highlight of the trip. We enjoyed a beautiful boat ride coupled with a delightful lunch, making it a truly memorable experience. The weather was diverse, ranging from snow to sunshine, which added to the magical atmosphere and allowed us to witness numerous spectacular view and waterfalls. Additionally, we spotted keas, dolphins and seals along the way. Although we missed seeing penguins, the appearance of a beautiful rainbow was a welcome compensation.
In summary, I would highly recommend this tour, as it was highlight of all tours I’ve done in NZ. It offers a wealth of natural wonders and is led by people who genuinely care about their guests' comfort and enjoyment.
