- Anchiskhati Basilica - The Anchiskhati Basilica of St Mary is the oldest existing church in Tbilisi, Georgia. It is part of the Georgian Orthodox Church and dates back to the sixth century.

The sculpture by Guya Djaparidze and Kokha Koridze is located near the northern wall of St Kevork Armenian Church. Sayat-Nova, along with other Christians, sought refuge in this church during Shah Aga Mohamed Kadjar’s attack in 1795. He was killed at the church’s doorstep and is buried there.
