• Jinvali Water Reservoir - Also referred to as a lake, the Jinvali Water Reservoir is situated along the Georgian Military Highway. Constructed by the Soviets in the 1980s, it offers a fantastic opportunity for stunning photography.
• Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble - Dating back to the 16th-18th centuries, the Ananuri fortress is located on the foreland by the Aragvi River. It served as a castle and the seat of the Eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty that governed the region from the 13th century. The castle witnessed numerous battles and is an ideal spot for landscape photography, offering breathtaking views of both the fortress and the Jinvali reservoir. The fortress was in use until the early 19th century and has been on the tentative list for inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage Site program since 2007.
• Black and White Aragvi - The White Aragvi and Black Aragvi rivers each maintain their distinct colors and do not mix. This remarkable site in eastern Georgia draws many tourists, as the rivers create a striking black-and-white stream.

• Mineral Springs - The Jvari Pass Travertine Natural Monument is a calcareous sinter or tufa located in the Baidara River valley at an elevation of 2197 meters. It formed when carbonate minerals precipitated from ambient temperature water. In some areas, the travertine is covered with a thin layer of clear water on the white surface of the slopes, where the development process continues actively.
• Stepantsminda - Stepantsminda is notable on Georgia’s map, not only for being just eleven kilometers from the northern border but also because one of the oldest crossroads between Europe and Asia runs through the town. Although the exact founding date of Stepantsminda is unknown, a treasure hoard from the 6th-5th centuries BCE was discovered here.
• Gergeti Trinity Church - Commonly known as the Holy Trinity Church near Gergeti village, it is located on the right bank of the Chkheri River beneath Kazbegi Mountain, at an altitude of 2170 meters. Built in the 14th century, it is the only cross-cupola church in the Khevi province. During times of danger, valuable relics from Mtskheta, including Saint Nino’s Cross, were safeguarded here. Although religious services were banned during the Soviet Era, the church remained a popular tourist attraction. It is an active establishment of the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church, offering an epic panoramic view of the entire valley. The church’s remote location in the steep, nature-rich mountainous area makes it Georgia’s most iconic tourist attraction. Visitors will be captivated by the view of Mount Kazbegi, which stands at 5047 meters above sea level.

On the way to Kazbegi, we stop at the picturesque Zhinvali Water Reservoir, and then visit the Ananuri Castle on the Aragvi River. The castle was the scene of numerous battles and served as a shelter for the local population during the wars. Ananuri is considered one of the most beautiful historical monuments of Georgia.

At an altitude of 2200 meters above the sea level, on the southern side of the plateau of the Greater Caucasus Range, and near the Cross Pass, there is the Gudauri Ski resort.

The Panorama Gudauri is a monument to celebrate the friendship between Georgia and Russia.

Stepantsminda is a small town. The main attraction here is the Church of the Holy Trinity – the Gergeti Monastery that is located at an altitude of 2170 meters under the mountain pick of Kazbegi. Due to its location on the top of a steep mountain, surrounded by very harsh nature, the church became the symbol of preservation of the Georgian relics.
