• Jinvali Water Reservoir - Also known as Zhinvali, this is a man-made water reservoir situated on the Aragvi River in Georgia. The construction of the hydroelectric dam in 1986 led to the formation of the Zhinvali Reservoir. Visitors will be enchanted by the reservoir’s stunning blue waters, surrounded by majestic mountains.
• Ananuri Fortified Castle Ensemble - This sixteenth-century castle complex is located on the Aragvi River. Positioned alongside the renowned Georgian Military Highway, it overlooks the expansive Jinvali Lake. The fortress features high, turreted stone walls that safeguard two churches, a watchtower, and a reservoir. The main church’s facade is intricately adorned with animal, floral, and Celtic-style carvings.
• Aragvi River - Witness the extraordinary natural phenomenon where two rivers converge, displaying striking black and white waters.
• Ski Gudauri - The next destination is Gudauri, a distinguished ski resort in Georgia. Situated at an elevation of 7,217 feet (2,200 meters) above sea level, the resort’s first lower lift station is at 6,528 feet (1,990 meters), while the summit Sadzele, the highest station, is at 3,306 meters. Gudauri offers exceptional skiing experiences, with the season running from December to April.
• Russian Georgian Friendship Monument - This monument, also known as the Treaty of Georgievsk Monument, was erected in 1983 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the Treaty of Georgievsk and the enduring friendship between Soviet Georgia and Soviet Russia. The views from here are breathtaking!
• Mineral Springs - Discover the source of mineral water and the unique rock formations that have developed over millions of years.
• Gergeti Trinity Church - Situated at an altitude of 7,119 feet (2,170 meters), this twelfth or thirteenth-century monument is located on the southern slopes of Mkinvarcveri. Gergeti Trinity Church is a significant temple, renowned for its picturesque surroundings. It is perched dramatically on a hill beneath the imposing white massif of Mount Kazbek, which rises to 5,033 meters. Built six centuries ago, the church’s stones have withstood countless blizzards, rain, and invasions, standing as a proud testament to Georgian resilience. It is a photographer’s dream shot.

• Mount Kazbek/ Mqinvartsveri - As the third-highest peak in Georgia (following Mount Shkhara and Janga) and the seventh-highest in the Caucasus Mountains, Kazbek is also the second-highest volcanic summit in the Caucasus, after Mount Elbrus. The summit is located directly west of Stepantsminda and is the area’s most prominent geographic feature. Mount Kazbek is the tallest peak in Eastern Georgia.
• Pasanauri - On the return journey to Tbilisi, a stop will be made at one of the restaurants in Pasanauri village. This location is famed as the birthplace of Georgian dumplings, Khinkali. Visitors can also enjoy fresh river fish, lamb, and a variety of other dishes.
