A Journey Through the Heart of Georgia

When I first heard about the Kazbegi and Gudauri Day Trip, I was immediately intrigued. Our next destination was Gudauri, where we had the opportunity to taste locally-produced alpine honey. The flavors were as diverse as the flowers and plants from which they were derived, and I couldn’t resist purchasing a jar to take home. The Russian Georgian Friendship Monument was another highlight, offering panoramic views of the Devil’s Valley. Some of my fellow travelers opted for paragliding, but I chose to enjoy a leisurely walk, taking in the crisp mountain air and stunning vistas.

Spiritual Heights and Lasting Impressions

The final leg of our journey took us to the Gergeti Trinity Church, perched high above the town of Stephantsminda. The church’s location, with Mount Kazbegi towering in the background, was nothing short of awe-inspiring. As I stood there, taking in the breathtaking views, I felt a profound sense of peace and connection to the land.

The day concluded with a scenic drive back to Tbilisi, and as the sun set over the mountains, I reflected on the incredible experiences of the day.
