Spectacular Lake Taupo and Carvings at minimal cost - Staff very friendly, gave great information during the cruise out to the carvings. Boat was able to get up close to see carvings clearly. Loved every minute and all for a great price.

Beautiful Sunset Sail - We sailed on Kindred Spirit the sailboat. Perfect number of people so not overcrowded with plenty of room. Only 1 captain who maned the boat and served drinks and did commentary, seemed like a lot to ask of 1 person. Did feel safe though but felt bad for him. We were able to sail which was a blast, love the feeling of sailing over the water just so calming. The Maori rock carvings were interesting to see, our captain turned the so everyone had a good look so no neck straining. He was very accommodating for all. The sunset was stunning. At one point coming back we did have to drop sails and motor back, no biggie it was getting quite cool so worked out perfectly. Back in dock right on the dot at 9:00pm. A lovely evening sailing and sunset!

Wonderful, informative trip - A great experience with views of the highlights of area from the water and an opportunity to swim/ snorkel. We scored a beautiful day with a morning tour which made it extra enjoyable. The local knowledge by the skipper was excellent.

Day on the water - My Husband and I booked this trip during our stay in Taupo. The weather was great for an early morning sailing . Our crew was Aaron and Dave they were both amazing. After we saw the carvings there was time for a swim in the beautiful clear waters. Unfortunately we did not have enough wind to enable the boat to 'sail' back but is was still an amazing trip. We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Taupo worth every penny.

Fabulous! - Chose this boat trip over other options due to previous reviews. We did a 12.30 catamaran trip on a weekday. Only 12 passengers so lots of space to move around. We lounged on the beanbags, a perfect experience. Our crew were great and gave explanations about the lake. We arrived at the Maori carvings which were impressive and plenty of time to take photos. Afterwards we headed to a bay and were able to swim for 15 minutes, then back on board and sailed on the lake. The catamaran had good facilities for changing into swimwear, bathrooms, under cover seating and a bar area. The trip price included one drink and more could be purchased. We really enjoyed our 2.5 hours and would thoroughly recommend this trip.

Worth it - Great experience on the Lake. The sail boat was comfortable and the crew was friendly. Too many people on the boat for our liking though. Cost was a bit expensive but worth it Be careful getting on and off the boat.

Sailing Lake Taupō - I was hoping that sails actually were used rather than motoring. The carvings are interesting. The crew didn’t interact with guests much. Nice outing but not outstanding.

Cancelled our booking - After reading positive reviews we booked a cruise for a date in March, in January of this year. Today (March 4th) we were informed that there was a ‘double booking’ and that our booking time was unavailable. We were offered alternative times but none would work due to other commitments. Not impressed
