Joe was an excellent tour guide!! Wonderful time. I would, however, like to know even more about the history of the building. Is there any other direct source of information on the hospital? And is it publically accessible?

I wanted to see way more of the buildings or tunnel, more story throughout. But the tour guide was nice and the winery and brewery was nice and offered great samples, it would have been more enjoyable if there were cheese and crackers or something with the wine.

This tour briefly covers the history of the institution and spends a lot of time on the tastings. You go into the tunnel and a few of the other buildings but that's it. Afterwards I took the regular tour and was thrilled!!! The tour guide brought the place back to life. His stories and passion for this institution were wonderful. He took us into wards, a dinning hall, we saw patients rooms, common areas and he had so many stories about visiting the place as a boy that were great. If you want a brief history and tastings this tour is for you. The wine at Left Foot Charlies is quite good but if you really want to get a feel for what happened here take the regular tour and then do the tastings after.

I enjoyed the tour but it would have been nice for Dave to go ahead and include at least 1 “ghost” story and/or salacious detail about the Mental Hospital and the patients/staff in addition to all of the history. Thank you.

Just felt like the tour was more drinking and talking than actually a tour of the facilities.

Joe was absolutely great, he had so much knowledge and personal history about the tcsh and you could tell he really cares for the hospital and its history. The history was so interesting and the place is beautiful. We went on the tasting tour and the wine and beers had great selection and the hosts new their stuff and appreciate the history of the place. Absolutely loved it!

We did the taste of the village tour. It was nice but I wish we got to tour the abandoned buildings that’s what we came there for. I payed more for the taste of the village tour thinking it was everything the historic tour was plus the wine and beer tasting is what it made me understand online. Just wish it would clarify it more I would have chosen the other tour over the tasting one.
