Tashkent - Upon arrival at Tashkent airport, guests will be greeted and transferred to the hotel for check-in after 8:00 AM.
12:00 - Begin exploring Tashkent’s Old City: visit the Hazrati Imam ensemble (16th–19th centuries) – the spiritual center of Tashkent, home to the original Uthman Quran manuscript and a hair of Prophet Muhammad. Continue to Barakhan Madrasa (16th century) and Kafal-al-Shashi Mazar Mausoleum (16th century). These sites are in the Old City, where traditional Eastern architecture meets ancient mahallis (residential areas) with adobe homes and narrow lanes.
Next, explore Chorsu Bazaar – Tashkent’s most authentic and historic market, and one of the largest indoor markets in the region. Under its vast dome, find a variety of national products, spices, handicrafts, folk art souvenirs, and more.
A pre-ride briefing will prepare participants for the start of the next day’s cycling route.

Transfer Tashkent – Tuzkan Lake (276 km, 5 hours). Bike Ride (35 km): Tuzkan Lake – Ortacheku Rocks (719 m).
Bike Ride (78 km): Ortacheku Rocks – Hayat Village (960 m).
Bike Ride (39 km): Hayat Village (960 m) – Sop Village (642 m). Ascent to the Sop Pass (1707 m) – Fazilman Lake (1645 m)
Bike Ride (68 km): Fazilman Lake (1645 m) – Chuya Village (1425 m)
Bike Ride (56 km): Chuya Village – Lyangar Pass (1425 m) – Maydan Village – Chinar Village (665 m).
Bike Ride (36 km): Chinar Village – Sarmish Gorge. Transfer Sarmish – Samarkand (200 km, 3 hours).
Sarmishsay Gorge - After breakfast, ascend to the plateau near Djunaty Peak.
Proceed to Sarmish Gorge, home to over 4,000 rock paintings. The petroglyphs date back 4-6 thousand years, with some carved into rocks and others painted using ancient ochre-based paints.

Samarkand, one of the world’s oldest cities, as ancient as Rome, was the former capital of Tamerlane’s vast empire. A city-museum and a key Silk Road trade hub, Samarkand retains its unique medieval Asian atmosphere.

Samarkand - Explore Samarkand’s sights: Registan Square, Central Asia’s most magnificent, surrounded by Ulugh Beg, Sher-Dor, and Tilla-Kari Madrasahs. Historically a site for gatherings, decrees, and executions. Visit Gur-e-Amir Mausoleum (Timur’s tomb), the prototype for Delhi/Agra mausoleums, and see Timur’s jade tombstone. Discover Bibi-Khanym Mosque, Central Asia’s largest, named after Timur’s wife, with rich decorations. Visit the Shakh-i-Zinda Ensemble, a complex of medieval mausoleums and a pilgrimage site. Finally, explore the Ulugh Beg Observatory Museum, featuring a preserved goniometer fragment.

Samarkand – Bukhara (280 km; 4.5 h). Bukhara (sightseeing).
Bukhara - Travel to Bukhara, stopping at the ruins of Rabat-i Malik caravanserai (“King’s Fortress”) near Navoi. Arrive in Bukhara, a Silk Road city and former Middle Eastern hub, with over 140 preserved architectural monuments (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Bukhara sightseeing includes: Lyabi-Khauz ensemble with its pond, Kukeldash and Nadir Divan-begi Madrasahs, khanaka, Khodzha Nasreddin monument, and cafes. Visit the 16th-century trading domes with bazaars offering souvenirs and local products. Explore a golden-embroidery and astrakhan fur workshop.
Bukhara (sightseeing). Bukhara – Tashkent (610 km, 4 h).
Bukhara - Continue exploring Bukhara: Samanid Mausoleum (9th century), Chashma-Ayub tomb (12th century), Bolo-House complex (18th century), and Ark Fortress (6th century BC - 19th century). Visit the Poy-Kalyan Complex (12th-16th century) with the Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque, and Miri Arab Madrasa. See the Abdulaziz-khan (17th century) and Ulugbek (15th century) Madrasahs. Transfer by train to Tashkent, check in at the hotel, and enjoy an overnight stay.
