Tashkent - Arrive in Tashkent. Upon arrival at Tashkent International Airport, a driver will greet you and take you to your hotel (check-in begins at 14:00). Start your Tashkent tour in the Old City area. Visit Khast Imam, a significant architectural complex and the religious center of Tashkent, home to the famous Uthman Quran. The Khast Imam complex includes Barak-Khan Madrasah, Tillya Sheikh Mosque, Muyi Muborak Madrasah, Kaffal Shashi Mausoleum, New Khazrati Imam Mosque, and the Muftiate building. Drive to Chorsu Bazaar. After exploring the bazaar, visit the State Museum of Applied Art to see beautiful examples of applied art from the early 1800s to the present. Enjoy a short metro ride in Tashkent.

Tashkent-Bukhara (Sightseeing tour duration: 6-7 hours)

Bukhara - 06:30 Head to the train station. 07:30 Board the “Afrosiyob” high-speed train to Bukhara. 11:17 Arrive in Bukhara. Begin your walking tour of Bukhara’s main attractions after checking out of the hotel. Visit the Lyabi-Khauz Complex, Bolo-Khauz Mosque, Ark Fortress, Chashma-Ayub and Ismail Samani mausoleums, Magoki-Attori Mosque, Chor-Minor Madrasah, Trade Dome, Kalyan Minaret, Kalyan Mosque, and Miri-Arab Madrasah. Bukhara (Sightseeing tour duration: 4-5 hours)

Bukhara - Breakfast at the hotel. 10:00 Country sightseeing. Visit the Chor-Bakr Necropolis, Bakhouddin Naqshbandi Mausoleum, and Sitorai Mokhi-Khosa, the summer residence of Bukhara’s last emir. Transfer back to the hotel. Free time. Overnight at the hotel.

Aydar Lake - Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Gijduvan at 09:00. Visit a pottery workshop in Gijduvan. Drive to Nurata. Arrive in Nurata at 13:00. After lunch, visit the Chashma Spring complex. Climb the hills to see the ruins of Alexander the Great’s fortress. Observe the Kariz, an ancient underground water pipeline system near Nurata. Drive to Yurt Camp at 16:00. Overnight at the Yurt camp.

Aydar Lake - Breakfast at the camp. 9:00 Drive to Lake Aydar. Stop to enjoy the lake’s shoreline. Continue to Sentyab village. 13:00 Arrive in Sentyab village. Lunch with a local family. Shahrisabz - Breakfast at the hotel. 09:00 Drive 85 kilometers to Shakhrisabz. Pass through Takhta-Karacha Mountain Pass and Aman-Kutan Gorge. Stop along the way to see Teshiktosh (the stone with a hole). The 1973 movie “Apachen” was filmed in this area, which resembles the American Southwest. Brief stop at the mountain pass summit. Purchase local dried fruits at a small market. 11:15 Arrive in Shakhrisabz. Visit the Jakhongir Mausoleum at the Dor-us Saodat Memorial Complex, Kok Gumbaz Mosque, and the ruins of Ak Saray Palace. 15:00 Drive back to the train station in Samarkand. 17:25 Board the “Afrosiyob” high-speed train to Tashkent. 19:40 Arrive in Tashkent.
