What a memorable and unforgettable experience!?! - What a memorable and unforgettable experience!?! My family and I traveled to Portugal and Spain in December. During my trip planning, I also wanted to include the northern part of Morocco in our itinerary considering the proximity from the Southern part of Spain. Interestingly, the city of Tangier is just about 31 Kilometers away from the port city of Tarifa. Planning the logistics and the details was a bit overwhelming until I started communicating with Mohammed, the tour guide and owner of Said Tours. I didn't know I could work with such a tour guide who could make all the arrangements for me, and make my life easier. His package deal didn’t only lift the heavy-load from me, it was a dream come true, and a one-of-a-kind opportunity. The package included: 1. Transportation from Malaga to Tarifa and back 2. Ferry Tickets from Tarifa to Tangier and back 3. Lodging - 2 nights (less meal) 4. Transportation from Tangier port to the hotel and back 5. Private car with an English-speaking tour guide 6. We visited the city of Tangier and Asilah the first day, and the second day, we visited the Blue City (Chefchaouen), which is about two hours from Tangier. We also made a brief stop at the town of Tetouan, a picturesque little town on our way to Chefchaouen from Tangier. Highlights of our Trip! · The camel rides on the beach. · Stopping for family pictures at the location where the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea meet. Mostly appreciated the following . . . The Communication - Very prompt and detailed. Everything starts with good communication. Punctuality – From the time we arrived at the port to the time we left the hotel, he and his staff were there on time. Attention to detail – Every little detail was taken care of! He explained to us the tour schedule, and used every minute efficiently. He and the other guide were super professional, knowledgeable, and personable. One last point to add; everyone knows Mohammed. Great Time in Morocco - Thanks to Said for a wonderful tour. While I'd been there before, I wanted to show this beautiful country to my son. We saw Tangier in a very new way. I learned a lot. The Palais Zahia was a perfect place to stay - right in the heart of the old city. We also got to ride camels and see the artsy city of Asilah and the beautiful mountain "Blue City" of Chefchaouen. Every part of the tour was well-organized and was a real bargain for a private tour. It was like hanging out with old friends. Special thanks to Said and Saleh for scrambling to take care of us. After our tour was over, our ferry back to Tarifa was cancelled for weather. They hustled back to pick us up, drive us 40 minutes to Tangier Med port, and get us back to Spain in time for our plane home. They made a couple lifelong friends with that. Thanks, Said.
