Wonderful tour for adults and kids. - What an incredible hike! Our tour guide Yostin was amazing. We saw many different species of birds, lizards, coati, agouti, insects, spiders, sleeping bats, and an incredible anteater! We learned about the local fauna and local history. The trail was very easy for the adults and the children (ages 5-10). Our guide helped us capture some amazing photos with his telescope too! Wonderful experience!

10/10 experience - Jeison was amazing. He was so knowledgeable of the native flora and fauna and showed us animals on his spotting scope (not sure if that’s what the lens is called) that we NEVER would’ve seen alone ourselves. We saw beautiful birds, insects, trees, flowers, lizards, and even a snake; it was gorgeous. He was so kind and the tour was very peaceful but still very fun! 10/10 and would do it again.

Wonderful Experience! Absolutely loved it!!! - Our tour with Yostin in Carara National Park proved to be a highlight of our Costa Rica adventure. His enthusiasm for and knowledge about the park and its wildlife kept us immensely engaged. We saw numerous birds and bats, snakes and ants (amazing!) and more, learning so much about each of them. His depth of knowledge was impressive! Without him, we would have walked right by and without his telescope would have missed up close views and pictures. He literally made that wonderful place come alive for us. Highly recommend!!

Highly recommended and worth every cent! - Here's your finished Tripadvisor review: We had a fantastic tour with Jeison in Carara National Park! Jeison was incredibly personable, spoke impeccable English and delighted us with so much exciting knowledge of the park as well as the flora and fauna. What was particularly great was that he took us to two additional spots where we could safely see red macaws – they were still on our bucket list, and thanks to him we were finally able to tick them off! In the park itself he took a lot of time for us and did not just rush through. We could observe staple monkeys, a black-green poison frog, various lizard species, a deer and many impressive bird species. We also had a long and pleasant conversation about Costa Rican traditions and learned even more about the country. Finally, he gave us a great recommendation for a soda (La Tranca) – we were there and absolutely delighted. A great tip! Thank you, Jeison, for this unforgettable experience!

Jeison, a very knowledgeable guide! - After visiting Carara National Park we highly recommend hiring a guide like Jeison. Very knowledgeable and he taught us a lot about the wildlife and ecosystem around the park. He showed us all the little hiding spots he knew where we could see wildlife. Called upon the birds so we could get closer pictures. Thank you Jeison, from Sweden!

Fantastic day of Bird Watching - Jeison the guide is extremely knowledgeable about birds, including their physical identification and calls. He is unbelievably good at spotting them, even the small and well camouflaged birds. He takes the time to understand what your want out of the experience and tailor makes the outing for your as best as possible.

Carrara / Manuel Antonio / Poas volcano - Jeison is a great guide for birdwatching, but also to spot other animals, in Carrara but also Poas National Park or Manuel Antonio. He knows his subject perfectly and transmits it with passion. 100 % recommended !

A wonderful Guide - The tour with Jeison was breathtaking. He takes a lot of time to explain things and to find the animals. It’s never boring at any point. He is very open to the needs of his guests. We’ve now done two tours with him and are already looking forward to more! If you're looking for a guide who knows what he’s talking about, takes his time, and listens to your wishes, Jeison is the perfect choice! A big thank you!

Fantastic guide! - We just completed a fantastic tour of Carara National Park with Jeison Hernandez who was 100% fantastic. We saw so many different birds and animals in the park that we absolutely would not have noticed had it not been for Jeison's outstanding abilities and obvious passion for his craft. He pointed out iguanas, macaws, birds, lizards, monkeys, frogs and so many other animals, plants, vines and vegetation that we would have walked right past without a second glance, and provided interesting and relative commentary. He also brought a telescope along that allowed us to see everything úp close and personal. He gave us options for our tour and modified the route for our desires and ability. He was not only extremely knowledgeable about the park and its inhabitants, but he was also patient, personable, polite, adaptive and spoke perfect English. He totally enhanced our visit to the park and wholeheartedly earned our highest recommendation!
