- Glencoe - Arrival in Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most renowned glens, featured in James Bond’s ‘Skyfall’. Visitors can immerse themselves in the dramatic atmosphere, capture stunning photos, and learn about the history of the Massacre of Glencoe.
- Fort William - Continuing through breathtaking highland scenery, the tour reaches Fort William. A lunch stop in this loch-side town offers beautiful views across the lochs and a glimpse of Ben Nevis, Britain’s tallest mountain, located just outside the town.
- Glenfinnan Viaduct - After Fort William, the one-day Glenfinnan tour heads east to the highlight of the day; Glenfinnan Viaduct, renowned for its appearances in the Harry Potter films. In summer, the iconic Jacobite Steam Train (or Hogwarts Express) can be seen crossing the viaduct. Cameras are a must!
Nestled among mountains on the shores of Loch Shiel, the Glenfinnan Monument commemorates the 1745 Jacobite Uprising, a pivotal event in Scottish history. Visitors spend about an hour at the monument, with ample time to learn about the Jacobites and capture iconic photos of the magnificent bridge and the stunning, history-rich surroundings.
Please note: the Jacobite Steam Train is operated by a third party, so its operation cannot be guaranteed, nor can the tour ensure a timely meeting with it at the viaduct.
- Neptune’s Staircase - From Glenfinnan, the return journey to Glasgow begins, soon crossing a canal with a series of locks on the right known as Neptune’s Staircase. Part of the Caledonian Canal, it, along with four lochs, enables boats and ships to travel 96 km from Scotland’s west to east coast. A remarkable feat of Scottish engineering.
- Tarbet - The journey continues south, passing the beautiful banks of Loch Lomond. A stop at Tarbet provides a comfort break before the tour resumes and returns to Glasgow.
