Excellent Tour, Amazing Tour Guide! - I highly recommend this tour and would give it a solid 5/5 stars (or more). We had a 9-hour layover in Taipei, and instead of just staying indoors, we decided to explore the city. Since we had limited time, we searched for private tour companies to take us out and about. We wanted to save time compared to commuting publicly and have our own tour guide to introduce us to the city’s tourist and historical places. Who better to know the city and share interesting facts than a local? Since all the popular tours were booked up for that day, I went with whatever was left. I didn’t have a high expectation about the tour because it only had a few reviews (all good though), but I booked it anyway because I didn’t have any other options. Booking was straightforward, and they sent us the usual info about what to expect. Our tour guide, Herbert Meng, also messaged us through the app WhatsApp (which I’d suggest using if you’re in Asia) to give us his number and let us know we could reach him out anytime with any questions. The tour was absolutely amazing! We visited Longshan Temple, Chiang Kai Shek Memorial Hall, Liberty Square, Taipei 101, and even got a ride through special spots like Tree Avenue and the Presidential Office. We also strolled through a night market, enjoyed some delicious pearl milk tea (yum!), explored the River Port (the first business center), and visited Dadaochen (the second business center). We especially loved the River Port; it was so calm and peaceful. Herbert walked with us through these areas, sharing the history and fun facts about each place. He also gave us plenty of time to explore on our own and take in the sights. All of this happened in just 6 hours (or 5 hours since we arrived late due to a flight delay), and he still managed to bring us back to the airport with enough time before our flight. Our tour guide, Herbert Meng (Whatsapp # +886-989370422, email: [email protected]), was an absolute gem. He was incredibly patient, friendly, and always smiling. He was also professional and knowledgeable about Taipei’s/Taiwan’s history. His passion for photography was evident as he captured every moment of our tour. He’s not a professional photographer, but he loves capturing moments. His eye for detail is amazing, and he took pictures of us at every stop. As a bonus, he sends you a copy of all the photos he took at the end of the tour. And after a day or two (I can’t remember exactly), he compiles all these pictures into a video! It’s truly amazing! I’d definitely get in touch with Herbert when I’m back in Taiwan. He really made our quick trip so special for my son and me. 😊

Seamless airport pickup... - Seamless airport pickup with great communication which is reassuring after a long flight and in a new country. My tour guide Stanley was knowledgeable, funny and took great photos! Which is not something I remember to do. The experience was everything I needed to get settled in a new city and learn about the history of the country.

If you have a 10 hour... - If you have a 10 hour layover in Taipei I HIGHLY recommend this tour. It is perfect to learn and see Taipei instead of sitting at the airport all day. Kevin was an exceptional tour guide and was very communicative with us! He was tracking our flight and picked us up right when we landed at 6:30am and dropped us off with enough time to get through security 2pm for a 5pm flight. Everything that the ad lists you will do! Again, highly recommend this trip and thank you Kevin!

6 hour layover in Taipei - I had a 6 hour layover in Taipei on a Saturday evening. Tony, my tour guide, picked me up on time at the airport. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and was able to maximize my time in Taipei. He recommended local fare, had excellent command of English, and was able to provide not only historical accounts of the major monuments (Longshan, Chiang Kai Shek memorial, Taipei 101, etc) but also pictures of the sites as they have changed over the past 40 years! Tony has a hobby of photography and took me to several spots to take fantastic pictures. I felt comfortable, unrushed, and thoroughly appreciated the tour

inadequate language skills - The gentleman was lovely but he was more of a driver than a guide as his English was poor and very hard to understand.
